    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a sensor that detects information relating to the first recording medium and information relating to the second recording medium; and a hardware processor that causes the sensor to detect information relating to the first recording medium conveyed first by the conveyance section and to detect information relating to the second recording medium conveyed by the conveyance section after the first recording medium, causes the conveyance section to operate such that the second recording medium is conveyed at a conveyance speed based on the information relating to the first recording medium, and causes the conveyance section to operate such that the second recording medium is conveyed at the conveyance speed maintained even when the information relating to the second recording medium after the first recording medium is detected to be different from the information relating to the first recording medium.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus receives setting of an object to be adjusted, on an adjustment object selection screen when selecting an adjustment mode. After the object to be adjusted is set, camera(s) photograph(s) the object to be adjusted so that the image forming apparatus obtains photographed data of current object to be adjusted. Next, the apparatus searches photographed data of the object to be adjusted in the ideal state thereof from the database. Name of the object to be adjusted and related information in the photographed data agree with those of the photographed data of current object to be adjusted. The higher ranked related information is preferentially searched and it is determined whether or not pieces of the higher ranked related information thus preferentially searched agree with each other.

    Abstract: An improved image detection apparatus is described which can colorimetrically measure an appropriate number of patches while inhibiting unnecessary sheet discharging. A correction chart consists of a plurality of patches linearly arranged in the form of a plurality of patch arrays which are parallelly arranged in the sheet width direction. The image detection apparatus includes a paper conveying unit for conveying a sheet on which the correction chart is formed, an image reading unit and a colorimetric unit which outputs the color information of each patch by performing the colorimetric process with the patch array consisting of a line of the patche. Then, while circulating a sheet, a control unit performs switch control for switching the patch array from one to the next to be colorimetrically measured by the colorimetric unit.
