A front protection bow on a motor vehicle front end is supported by bending-resistant rod profiles on supporting components of the motor vehicle body. The rod profiles of the front protection bow, which together are closed to form a frame and which are largely situated in the overlapping area with the motor vehicle front end comprising a forward front wall and an elastically flexible bumper, extend at least along a predominant portion of the width and the height of the motor vehicle front end. The front wall of the motor vehicle front end has a front end contour which is adapted to the course or curve of the frame and which has at least one section which is embedded in the front wall and in which at least one rod profile of the frame is to be arranged in a sunk manner at least by a partial cross-section. The frame of the front protection bow, when the rod profile is lowered, is arranged to be offset toward the rear with respect to the forward side of the bumper.
Abstract:
A method for the production of a connecting structure for a motor vehicle involves inserting two profile elements, connected to one another by a plastic joint element, into a tool and hardening in the tool. A fiber semi-finished product with respective receivers for corresponding connecting regions of the profile elements is produced. The connecting regions of the profile elements are connected to the respective receivers of the fiber semi-finished product. The plastic joint element is produced by injecting plastic in a transfer molding process into a forming region of the tool provided for this purpose.

A diagonal strut device (1) for reinforcing arrangement on an undercarriage of a motor vehicle. A plurality of struts (2) made from a fibre-reinforced plastic composite material extend away from a central joint element (3). Each strut (2) can be connected to the undercarriage via this from the end facing away from the central joint element (3). For this, a connecting joint element (4) is arranged on the end of each strut (2) facing away from the central joint element (3), wherein the central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are formed from a light metal material. The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are then connected to the struts (2) by an at least positive connection. The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are each formed from several individual elements joined together.

In order to improve the door pillar with regard to loading and weight, it has a pillar body which extends at least in the upper section and is made of iron or iron alloy, and a pillar base which is connected fixedly thereto, extends at least in the lower section, and is made of light metal or light metal alloy.

The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are formed from a light metal material. The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are then connected to the struts (2) by an at least firmly bonded cast joint. Further, a method for the production of a diagonal strut device (1), as well as a motor vehicle undercarriage, which uses the diagonal strut device (1) for reinforcement.

The present invention relates to a method for joining at least one joint part (3), provided with a through-opening (4), to a hollow profile (1), the joint part (3) being pushed with its through-opening (4) onto the hollow profile (1) up to a joint point (2), and the hollow profile (1) being expanded at least at the joint point (2). In order to improve the durability of the connection between joint part (3) and hollow profile (1), an adhesive (11) is arranged between an inner side (6) of the joint part (3) and an outer side (5) of the hollow profile (1) before the expansion in such a way that the adhesive (11) adheres to the inner side (6) and to the outer side (5) in the region of the joint point (2) after the expansion.
