    摘要: A hair conditioning composition containing very little water from which a hair conditioner can be easily produced by diluting with water, and a low energy production method thereof. A hair conditioning composition including (a) 10 to 90% by mass of specifically structured higher alcohols and/or derivatives thereof, (b) 5 to 35% by mass of cationic surfactant, and (c) a polyhydric alcohol and/or polyethylene glycol having a melting point of 70° C. or less, wherein the melting point of a gel which is formed from (a) and (b) in the composition is 70° C. or less, the water content is 10% by mass or less, and the molar ratio of (a) to (b) is 2.5 or more to less than 6.0. Also, a low energy method of producing a hair conditioner by melting the hair conditioning composition under heating at the temperature of the melting point of gel or more to 70° C. or less, and diluting it with water in an amount of 3 to 15 times by mass.

    摘要: The present invention provides an easily-handled hair conditioning composition with a very low water content. The hair conditioning composition of the present invention is a composition comprising: (a) 10 to 90% by mass of one or more components selected from higher alcohols, higher fatty acids, and derivatives thereof, (b) 5 to 35% by mass of a cationic surfactant, and (c) a polyhydric alcohol and/or polyethylene glycol having a melting point of 155° C. or less, characterized in that the endothermic peak of a gel which is formed from (a) and (b) in the composition is 50° C. or more as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and that the water content is 10% by mass or less.

    摘要: The present invention provides a production method of a fine O/W emulsion external preparation having the emulsion particle size of 50 to 500 nm comprising the steps of: mixing with stirring, at 70 to 80° C., (A) a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant, (B) a linear higher alcohol having 16 or more carbon atoms, (C) an oil component, (D) an aqueous solvent which can be soluble in water, wherein the critical micelle concentration (c.m.c.) of the hydrophilic nonionic surfactant in the aqueous solvent is higher than that in water, and (E) water in the amount of 5 to 25 mass % of the total amount of (A) to (E), to prepare a W/O emulsion; and adding, while mixing with stirring, (F) water or an aqueous formulation at 10 to 35° C. into the W/O emulsion to invert the W/O emulsion to a fine O/W emulsion. The production method needs not to use any cooling apparatus, has excellent economical efficiency, can easily produce a fine O/W emulsion external preparation excellent in safety and stability.

    摘要: When a poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber is used, it is difficult to solubilize a sufficient amount of the poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber by using a surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or a polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil. Thus, an object aims to provide a water-containing composition in which a poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber is solubilized or dispersed in water. Another object aims to dissolve a poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber in water and allow the poorly water-soluble ultraviolet ray absorber to co-exist with a water-soluble component such as a water-soluble medicinal agent and a water-soluble dye in the water to thereby stabilize the water-soluble component. The water-containing composition comprises the components (1) to (3) shown below and may additionally comprise a water-soluble medicinal agent and/or a water-soluble dye: (1) a polyoxyethylene adduct compound represented by formula (I) HO(CH2CH2O)a—R (I) [wherein R represents a phytosterol residue or a phytostanol residue; and n represents a number of 5 to 100]; (2) a poorly water-soluble ultra-violet ray absorber; and (3) water.
