摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to compounds for preparing fluorocarbon compounds, methods for preparing fluorocarbon compounds, and methods for purifying a mixture of compounds. One aspect of the present invention relates to a trivalent iodonium fluorocarbon. The trivalent iodonium fluorocarbon compound of the invention is useful for attaching a fluorocarbon group to a compound that has a nucleophilic functional group. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a method of preparing a trivalent iodonium fluorocarbon. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a method of preparing a fluorocarbon by treating a compound bearing a nucleophilic functional group with a trivalent iodonium fluorocarbon compound. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a method or purifying a mixture comprising a first and a second compound by treating the mixture with a trivalent iodonium fluorocarbon to attach a fluorocarbon group to the second compound leaving the first compound unchanged, and purifying the mixture by fluorous-phase purification.

摘要: Fluorinated alkyl compounds may be used as reaction intermediates or reaction products in polymerizing amino acid structures into peptides. Fluorinated methyl groups have been found to be particularly useful. A compound having a fluorinated methyl group such as that set forth below: wherein R is selected from the group consisting of: alkyls, hydrogen, aryls, aromatic compounds, amines, sulfur-containing alkyl groups, sulfur-containing aryl groups, and heterocyclic compounds may be utilized alone, or reacted in combination with other amino acids, to form a dipeptide, or polypeptide.

摘要: This invention process for preparing 1,3-dioxolanes of formula: ##STR1## wherein; X.sub.1, X.sub.2, X.sub.3 and X.sub.4, like or different from one another, represent F, Cl, Br, I, CF.sub.2 OSO.sub.2 F, SO.sub.2 F, C(O)F, H, perhaloalkyl or oxyperhaloalkyl radicals containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms,X.sub.5 and X.sub.6, like or different from each other, represent F or CF.sub.3. Said process is characterized in that a bis(fluoroxy)perfluoroalkane is reacted, at a temperature ranging from -140.degree. C. to +60.degree. C., with a halogenated olefin.This invention also relates to new 1,3-dioxolanes of formula (I) belonging to the class defined hereinbefore.

摘要: A radiation curable coating comprising the reaction product of a polyol and a polycarboxylic acid/anhydride is disclosed. The reaction product may be made from at least some biomass derived compound. Coatings wherein this reaction product is further reacted with a hydroxyl-carboxylic acid and/or a compound having a radiation curable moiety are also disclosed, as are substrates coated with any of these coatings.

摘要: This invention relates to a process for preparing perfluoroalkoxysulphonic compounds having formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.f represents a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroethereal group, X represents F, OH or OM, in which M is an alkaline cation, an alkaline-earth cation, or X represents NR.sub.1 R.sub.2, in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, independently of each other, represent H or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms and p is a number selected from 1 to 2, characterized in that the perfluoro vinyl sulphonyl fluoride of formula (II) CF.sub.2 =CF--SO.sub.2 F is reacted with a hypofluorite of formula (III):R.sub.f (OF).sub.r (III)wherein R.sub.f is the same as defined above, and r represents 1 or 2, optionally in an inert solvent, at a temperature approximately ranging from -140.degree. C. to +40.degree. C., and in that, if so desired, from the compound of formula (I) so obtained in which X=F, the corresponding derivatives, in which X has the other meanings defined above, are obtained by means of conventional techniques.
