摘要： Disclosed is an image forming apparatus for forming a toner image on a sheet both in a horizonal installation and in a vertical installation of the apparatus. The image forming apparatus is designed so that an air flow from a thermal fixing unit exerts no influence on an image forming operation of a photosensitive body and a temperature detection operation of the thermal fixing unit even when installed horizontally or vertically. This image forming apparatus therefore includes an exhaust duct for guiding a gas of an interior of the thermal fixing unit in an upper oblique direction from the thermal fixing unit to exhaust the interior of the thermal fixing unit. The air flow from the thermal fixing unit does not therefore influence an image formation on the photosensitive body even when the apparatus is installed horizontally or vertically.

摘要： Disclosed is an image forming apparatus for forming a toner image on a sheet both in a horizonal installation and in a vertical installation of the apparatus. The image forming apparatus is designed so that an air flow from a thermal fixing unit exerts no influence on an image forming operation of a photosensitive body and a temperature detection operation of the thermal fixing unit even when installed horizontally or vertically. This image forming apparatus therefore includes an exhaust duct for guiding a gas of an interior of the thermal fixing unit in an upper oblique direction from the thermal fixing unit to exhaust the interior Of the thermal fixing unit. The air flow from the thermal fixing unit does not therefore influence an image formation on the photosensitive body even when the apparatus is installed horizontally or vertically. This image forming apparatus also includes a temperature detector provided obliquely to a heat roller of the thermal fixing unit. The image forming apparatus further includes a plurality of temperature detectors each provided in a different position with respect to the heat roller of the thermal fixing unit. The image forming apparatus still further includes a temperature detector for detecting a temperature of the heat roller and a control circuit for controlling a fixing temperature of the heat roller by comparing a set temperature corresponding to an installing direction of the apparatus with a temperature detected by the temperature detector. The temperature of the heat roller can be therefore accurately controlled irrespective of the installing direction of the apparatus.

摘要： An ECU determines whether or not there is an abnormality (shift pattern abnormality) in a combination of shift signals provided from a shift position sensor. After occurrence of the shift pattern abnormality is determined, the ECU determines whether or not a first condition that a shift pattern changes into a normal pattern of a drive range is satisfied, and whether or not a second condition that a vehicle is running (a driver has an intention to cause the vehicle to run) is satisfied. When occurrence of the shift pattern abnormality is determined, the ECU stops generation of driving force of the vehicle and prohibits switching to the drive range. When the above-mentioned first condition and second condition are satisfied after occurrence of the shift pattern abnormality is determined, the ECU switches the shift range to the drive range indicated by the shift pattern and recovers the driving force.

The VDC system advances a VDC initiation timing used in a differential limited state in which at least one of the front-and-rear wheel axle differential motion and the left-and-right wheel axle differential motion is limited, in comparison with a VDC initiation timing used in a differential non-limited state in which the front-and-rear wheel axle differential motion and the left-and-right wheel axle differential motion are allowed.

摘要： A cylindrical body arranged between a shaft body and a blade of a horizontal axis wind turbine is constituted of a cylindrical barrel portion, a first flange portion fixed to a first end of the barrel portion so that the blade is connected thereto, and a second flange portion fixed to a second end of the barrel portion and connected to the shaft body. The barrel portion is constituted of a cylindrically formed rubber stock and a plurality of filamentary bodies embedded in the rubber stock and arranged in a state inclined by a prescribed angle with respect to a direction parallel to an axial direction. When tensile force F develops in the barrel portion due to centrifugal force resulting from rotation of the blade, both opening ends of the barrel portion twistedly rotate due to actions of the filamentary bodies. Thus, it follows that the pitch angle of the blade connected to the first flange portion automatically varies with a wind speed.
