    摘要: As a protective film of an element and a slider in a magnetic head, a film is provided which is excellent in adhesiveness to a film forming surface and which shows sufficient corrosion-resistance property with a thinner thickness. To provided this film, according to the present invention, a DLC film as a protective film is formed onto an element portion end surface and a surface of a slider of a magnetic head core. A film deposition step is conducted plural times to obtain the DLC film with a predetermined thickness when the DLC film is formed using an electric discharge.

    摘要: Retroreflective sheeting (1) comprises a reflective base (2), a transparent film layer (4) which is colored different from the color of reflected light of the reflective base (2) and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (3). The transparent film layer (4) is removably provided on the reflective base (2) via the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (3). Part (4′) of the transparent film layer (4) is to be cut out on use so that the transparent film layer (4) may form a desired image. The peel strength between the transparent film layer (4) and the reflective base (2) is 25 to 400 gf/25 mm. After the transparent film layer (4) is pressed to the reflective base (2) under a pressure of 5 kgf/cm2, the peel strength between the transparent film layer (4) and the reflective base (2) is 700 gf/25 mm or greater.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a thin film magnetic head and its manufacturing method. A slider 1 is provided with base body surfaces 13 and 14 at its surface facing opposite a medium. An inductive thin film magnetic transducer 2 is provided with a first pole tip P1 and a second pole tip P2 whose front ends emerge at the base body surfaces 13 and 14 and indented portions 4 and 5 provided at the base body surfaces 13 and 14. A protective film 10 covers the base body surfaces 13 and 14 and indented portions 4 and 5. The thickness of the protective film 10 at the indented portions 4 and 5 is larger than the thickness at the base body surfaces 13 and 14. The magnetic films constituting the pole tips P1 and P2 can thus be reliably protected from oxidation, corrosion and the like, while minimizing the spacing loss.
