Abstract: A printed circuit board includes a surface and having first and second adjacent apertures. First and second electrical terminals include respective ends disposed in the first and second apertures of the printed circuit board, respective shoulders adjacent to the ends of the first and second electrical terminals and engaged with the surface of the printed circuit board, and respective insertion tabs adjacent to the shoulders of the first and second electrical terminals and located respective first and second distances away from the surface of the printed circuit board. The first and second distances are different such that the first and second insertion tabs do not touch one another.

Abstract: An electrical unit housing may include a housing member, a cover, and a connector. The cover may be releasably connectable to the housing member in an assembly direction. The connector may include a latch and a tab. The latch may be disposed on the cover and the tab may be disposed on the housing member. The tab may include a first surface, a second surface, and a third surface that may extend obliquely or perpendicularly relative to each other. The second surface may extend from and connect the first surface to the third surface. The latch may be biased toward contact with the tab. The second surface may be configured to facilitate a sliding movement of the latch toward an engaged position.

Abstract: A printed circuit board (PCB) assembly includes a printed circuit board and first and second electrical terminals mounted thereto. The first electrical terminal comprises a body having a first end and a second end, a mounting member extending outwardly from the first end configured for insertion into an aperture formed in the PCB, shoulders defined adjacent the mounting member, and a first insertion tab extending outwardly from the body at the first end thereof. Abstract: A solder validation method for a printed circuit board (PCB) having a pin hole extending through the PCB, an electrically conductive trace on a surface of the PCB, and an electrically conductive pin inserted through the pin hole includes the following. An electrically non-conductive portion is provided on the surface of the PCB between the pin hole and the trace such that the non-conductive portion electrically isolates the pin from the trace. After a soldering process intended to solder the pin and the trace together, a soldered connection between the pin and the trace is detected as being absent when no electrical continuity is between the pin and the trace as a soldered connection between the pin and the trace has to be present to provide the electrical continuity due to the pin and the trace otherwise being electrically isolated from one another by the non-conductive portion.
