Abstract:
A compressor control apparatus, and a refrigerator including the same are provided. The operation of two compressors may be controlled using an alternating current (AC) switch, thereby minimizing a number of components, as well as increasing compressor capacity and enhancing operation efficiency. A plurality of operation modes may be used to correspond to a load or freezing capacity using two compressors, and the two compressors may be operated in a separate or simultaneous manner using a drive including two (AC) switches, thereby simplifying the configuration of the system.
Abstract:
A compressor control apparatus, and a compressor control method. The compressor may be operated in an operation mode in which commercial power applied to the compressor does not pass through an alternating current capacitor when the load is in an overload state, thereby preventing the loss of a drive and effectively reducing the copper and core loss of the compressor.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling a linear compressor are provided. The apparatus and method may identify a kind of motor of a linear compressor, based on an output which may be measured by applying a test signal to the linear compressor, and may control the linear compressor depending on the identified kind of motor. The apparatus and method may diagnose whether the linear compressor has broken down, and thus, the kind of motor may be autonomously identified without a separate device or a measurement operation, control suitable for a characteristic or characteristics of the motor may be accurately and efficiently controlled, and maintenance, repair, and inspection of the linear compressor may be simply and easily performed.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for controlling a linear compressor, and a linear compressor operable with high power and low noise are provided. The apparatus may include a reference operating frequency determiner that determines a reference operating frequency at which a linear motor is operated, and an actual operating frequency determiner that determines an actual operating frequency as an arbitrary value included in a predetermined numerical value range in a vertical direction around the reference operating frequency. A correction signal may be determined by the actual operating frequency.
Abstract:
A compressor control apparatus and method, and a refrigerator including the same, are provided. In a refrigerator having two compressors, starting of two compressors may be staggered to reduce an effect of the suction pressure and discharge pressure between the two compressors, to provide for stable operation of the compressors, and improve reliability and power consumption.
Abstract:
A compressor control apparatus includes a rectifying unit configured to rectify power applied from the outside, a DC link unit configured to include a pair of capacitors and smooth the rectified voltage, an inverter unit configured to include a pair of switches and convert the smoothed DC voltage into a driving voltage of a motor according to a control signal, and a control unit configured to generate the control signal, wherein the control unit applies a DC offset voltage to the driving voltage according to a direction of a current applied to the motor on the basis of a result obtained by comparing voltages across the pair of capacitors.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling a compressor are provided. A motor current flowing in a compressor may be calculated from voltage values of a capacitor without using a sensor, and as a motor current value is calculated by changing voltage values of the capacitor according to voltage values of a drive and performing a definite integral thereon, the motor current value may be resistant to noise, and the compressor may be more stably controlled.
