    Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor may include a suction guide between a refrigerant suction pipe and a high/low pressure separation plate, and the suction guide may be fastened to a non-orbiting scroll or inserted into a suction guide protrusion that extends from the non-orbiting scroll. Accordingly, suction refrigerant may be partially suctioned into a compression chamber by the suction guide in advance before moving to the high/low pressure separation plate, so as to be prevented from coming into contact with the high/low pressure separation plate, while the suction refrigerant may also partially flow toward a drive motor without being suctioned directly into the compression chamber, so as to cool the drive motor, whereby efficiency of the compressor may be improved and an operation range of the compressor may be expanded.

    Abstract: A motor-operated compressor includes a casing having an inner space including a suction space and a discharge space. A first scroll is disposed in the inner space of the casing. A second scroll is configured to orbit in engagement with the first scroll to form a pair of two compression chambers between the first scroll and the second scroll. A rotary shaft is coupled to the second scroll and configured to transfer a rotational force of a driving motor to the second scroll. An intermediate pressure space is formed on one side of the second scroll and in fluid communication with the discharge space. Oil entering the intermediate pressure space from the discharge space forms back pressure supporting the second scroll toward the first scroll, and a portion of the oil flows into the suction space.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first back pressure unit that allows a refrigerant to flow from a first compression chamber to a back pressure chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant, and a second back pressure unit that allows the refrigerant to flow from the back pressure chamber to a second compression chamber while blocking a reverse flow of the refrigerant. The first back pressure unit and the second back pressure unit may be spaced apart from each other in a direction that the compression chambers are formed. This may reduce pressure pulsation in the back pressure chamber. Also, leakage between compression chambers may be suppressed and simultaneously friction loss may be reduced by appropriately adjusting the pressure in the back pressure chamber. This is especially advantageous for enhancing compression efficiency under low load operating conditions (or in a low pressure ratio operation).

    Abstract: A motor operated compressor according to the present invention has a driving motor having a stator and a rotor. A rotation shaft of the motor is coupled to the rotor. The compressor also has a frame, a fixed scroll positioned on one side of the frame, and an orbiting scroll supported on the frame and positioned between the fixed scroll and the frame. The fixed scroll forms a compression chamber together with the orbiting scroll. The driving motor, the fixed scroll, the orbiting scroll, and the frame are positioned within a casing of the compressor. The rotation shaft rotatably passes through the fixed scroll and the frame and is to eccentrically coupled to the orbiting scroll, allowing the orbiting scroll to perform an orbiting motion relative to the fixed scroll. One end portion of the rotation shaft is supported by the fixed scroll while the other end is supported by the casing.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor includes a discharge guide disposed in a high-pressure part to guide refrigerant discharged from a compression part to a refrigerant discharge pipe, and the discharge guide may extend by a preset height from an inner circumferential surface of a casing constituting the high-pressure part toward one side surface of a high and low pressure separation plate. This can guide discharge refrigerant discharged to the high-pressure part to quickly flow to the refrigerant discharge pipe before being spread in an entire space of the high-pressure part, thereby preventing the high and low pressure separation plate from being overheated by discharge refrigerant of high temperature. This can result in preventing suction refrigerant of a low-pressure part from being heated by heat of discharge refrigerant transferred through the high and low pressure separation plate, thereby reducing a specific volume of the suction refrigerant and improving compressor efficiency.
