An acceleration sensor (10, 10', 10") in which a metal blade member (24) having a source plate portion (24a), attachment portion (24p) and integral resilient beams (24b) extending between the source plate portion and the attachment portion is attached to a pin (22) received in turn in a bore (18a) of a substrate (18). The metal blade member (24) is mounted on the substrate (18) so that the source plate portion is a selected distance from a detect plate (18b) mounted on the substrate. The sensor is disposed in a cylindrical housing (12, 12', 12") which can be directly mounted to a circuit board (50) through terminal pins (18g, 18h, 18i) or can be provided with a threaded fastener (12"d). In one embodiment first and second sensor modules are received in a housing (42) to sense acceleration forces in two perpendicular directions. In another embodiment tab (30b) extending from a signal conditioning circuit (30) is placed between a connector body (20') and the sidewall (12b) of housing (12) with a detent (12c) formed in the sidewall (12b) to effect an electrical connection between circuit (30) and housing (12"). An O-ring gasket (13) is placed between the sidewall (12b) and the connector body (20') outboard of the detent to provide an environmental seal.

In addition, the integrally-formed surface protrusions can be provided on the inner surface of the garment contacting the skin of the wearer to provide a frictional force between the surface protrusions and the skin of the wearer to provide the garment with desired functional characteristics when in use by the wearer. Further, a method for mechanically forming the above garment material is provided.

There is disclosed a door frame construction, preferably of metal, which comprises cross channel members assembled perpendicularly with a pair of parallel upright channel members to form a rectangular frame. The respective channel members are held in assembled squared relation by a novel type of joint construction, which joint includes a pair of elongate slots formed in ones of the channel members which slots cooperating receive first detent members formed on the other of the channel members. The first detent members prevent disassembly of the joined channel member in a generally lateral direction. In addition, said slot also cooperates with second detent members received therein, which preclude relative pivotal movement between the assembled channel members and thereby serve to maintain the channel members in squared relation.

The embodiment of the invention disclosed herein is directed to a door stop assembly for a bidirectional swinging door to permit opening the door in a first direction during normal use and to permit selective opening of the door in a second direction during an emergency. The stop is employed in an assembly which includes a face or strike plate having an opening for receipt of a strike member, a housing formed on one side thereof, all adapted to be set in a mortise of a door frame. The door stop assembly has a floating body member which moves linearly inwardly into the housing and then engages the back wall thereof and rocks about a sloping inclined surface of the body portion so that the stop engaging surface of the stop assembly is displaced from engagement with the door, thereby permitting the door to be opened in the opposite direction of its normal use.
