The method includes controlling the motor/generator to absorb a torque equalling the torque provided by the engine, such that the manual or automated manual transmission transfers a only minor, or no, torque, disengaging the first gear, controlling the torques absorbed by the motor/generator and provided by the engine such that an engine speed correlates to the engine speed necessary for propelling the vehicle at the second gear, and engaging the second gear.

The plate is extended along a transmission side, the power electronics unit is fixed to the power train with a first attachment point. All attachment points have a total thermal conductivity corresponding to more than 10 degrees temperature difference on a Kelvin-scale between the power electronics unit and outside surface of said first transmission side and/or outside surface of the motor/generator for 5 kW of heat originating from one side of said attachment point. Embodiments also including sound damping capabilities are disclosed. The arrangement facilitates use of fewer parts and increased functionality.

An Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and a method and a computer program product are provided for the control of a drive train for a hybrid vehicle, and a drive train including such a control device is also provided. The hybrid vehicle includes an upstream located Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) which is connected to an Electronic Motor/Generator (EMG) via a Master Clutch (MC). The EMG is connected to the wheels via a Mechanical Transmission (MT) including synchronization. The ECU is programmed to control the MC and the MT when shifting from a generating mode, in which the ICE is powering the EMG at or near standstill, to a driving mode in such a way that at least a part of the inertial energy liberated when retarding the EMG in order to synchronize the rotational speed of the EMG and the MT is transferred to the wheels by using the synchronization in the MT to retard the EMG and transfer of power to the wheels.

The tooth clutch includes an engaging sleeve having sleeve clutch teeth that can selectably be brought in and out of an engaged state with mating clutch teeth by axial displacement of the engaging sleeve.
