摘要: The present invention relates to a method for determining engine operation parameter values during and/or after a gear shift operation prior to performing said gear shift operation. The method comprises the steps of, prior to the gear shift operation: determining initial conditions comprising torque demand and engine speed and certain other engine operation parameter values; providing said initial conditions to an engine operation simulation model; providing a torque development course as well as an engine speed development course during the intended gear shift operation to said engine operation simulation model; and determining desired engine operation parameter values by means of said engine operation simulation model based upon the information thus provided to said engine operation simulation model.

摘要: There is provided a driving assistance device. When there is a possibility that weather influences a detection performance of a vehicle detection unit configured to detect a preceding vehicle traveling in front of a subject vehicle and to measure an inter-vehicular distance to the preceding vehicle, a speed reduction control assistance unit enables a speed reduction control unit to perform a primary speed reduction control at a predetermined distance ahead of an entry or an exit of a tunnel-shaped road structure. Thereafter, when the vehicle detection unit detects the preceding vehicle and the inter-vehicular distance is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, the speed reduction control assistance unit enables the speed reduction control unit to perform a secondary speed reduction control.

Cylinder heating is achieved using combinations of slow unfueled engine rotation where the engine cylinders are heated via compression stroke heating, and slow compressor rotation where the cylinders are heated via compression heating. One or more intake or exhaust heaters may be concurrently operated to expedite cylinder heating.

The controller is configured to receive a requested wheel speed input by an operator, calculate a desired engine speed, command a gear upshift if a current engine speed is more than the desired engine speed and if upshifting will locate the current engine speed closer to the desired engine speed, and command a gear downshift if the current engine speed is less than the desired engine speed and if downshifting will locate the current engine speed closer to the desired engine speed.

摘要: A controller is capable of controlling a coupled engine running mode, in which an engine is coupled to wheels and an engine brake is activated by driven rotation of the engine, and a coasting mode, in which an engine brake force is reduced with respect to that in the coupled engine running mode with mode with the engine brake on, and starts the coasting mode on the basis of the steering angle of a steering member. The controller starts the execution of a first coasting mode when the steering angle is equal to or less than a preset upper limit value and starts the execution of a second coasting mode when the steering angle is greater than the upper limit value. In the first coasting mode, the engine rotation is stopped, and in the second coasting mode, the engine remains rotating.
