    摘要: A position detection system for locating an object including a resonator comprises an array of parallel conductors responsive to a magnetic field generated by a magnetic field generator, and a plurality of receivers each associated with a parallel conductor. In one embodiment, the array of parallel conductors is provided with sinusoidally varying spacing and driven with sinusoidally varying current. In another embodiment, the array of parallel conductors is provided with constant spacing, and the receivers are configured with gain factors to produce reception similar to reception by sinusoidally spaced conductors. A method of detecting position of an object including a resonator comprises providing an array of parallel conductors, providing a plurality of receivers, and associating each of the receivers with a parallel conductor.

    摘要: The estimation of an HRTF for a given individual is accomplished by means of a coupled model, which identifies the dependencies between one or more images of readily observable characteristics of an individual, and the HRTF that is applicable to that individual. Since the HRTF is highly influenced by the shape of the listener's outer ear, as well as the shape of the listener's head, images of a listener which provides this type of information are preferably applied as an input to the coupled model. In addition, dimensional measurements of the listener can be applied to the model. In return, the model provides an estimate of the HRTF for the observed characteristics of the listener.

    摘要: A system for selling and administering the redemption of travel site access and other privileges to consumers has a computer connected to the Internet that pushes and pulls data to and from a database including site and privilege data, such as, description, cost, purchases, access code, privilege redemption and promotion data. The consumer may purchase access to sites and goods over the Internet and are provided with an access code which can be presented to the consumer in a variety of forms in accordance with the consumer's preference. In one embodiment, the code is sent to a mobile phone or computer. Optionally, the mobile device can communicate with a point of sale device to allow access to a given site. The mobile device may also be used to send promotions, such as discounts, to the consumer, which may be programmatically selected and sent based upon logistical, empirical, timing and marketing criteria. Point of sale devices and human representatives may facilitate non-technical consumer use by conducting selected functions, such as the sale and redemption of privileges and the communication of promotions.
