摘要: A process for obtaining atactic 1-butene polymer optionally containing at least one comonomer selected from ethylene, propylene or an alpha-olefin of formula CH2═CHRo, wherein Ro is a linear or branched C3-C20 alkyl group, comprising the step of polymerizing 1-butene and optionally ethylene, propylene or said alpha-olefin, in the presence of a catalyst system obtainable by contacting:a) at least one metallocene compound of formula (I) in its meso or meso-like form wherein M is an atom of a transition metal; p is an integer from 0 to 3; X, same or different, is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a hydrocarbon group; L is a divalent C1-C40 hydrocarbon radical optionally containing heteroatoms belonging to groups 13-17 of the Periodic Table of the Elements; R1 and R2, are C1-C40 hydrocarbon radicals; T, equal to or different from each other, is a moiety of formula (IIa) or (IIb): wherein R3 is a C1-C40 hydrocarbon radical; R4 and R6, are hydrogen atoms or C1-C40 hydrocarbon radicals; R5 is a C1-C40 hydrocarbon radical; R7 and R8, equal to or different from each other, are hydrogen atoms or C1-C40 hydrocarbon radicals; and b) an alumoxane or a compound capable of forming an alkyl metallocene cation;

摘要: A process for preparing 1-butene polymers, comprising polymerizing 1-butene or copolymerizing 1-butene with ethylene, propylene or an alpha-olefin of formula CHT2=CHT wherein T is a C3-C10 alkyl group, in the presence of a catalyst system obtainable by contacting: A) a metallocene compound belonging to formula (I): wherein M is zirconium titanium or hafnium; X, equal to or different from each other, is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon radical optionally containing heteroatoms; R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12 and R13 are hydrogen atoms, or C1-C4O hydrocarbon radicals optionally containing heteroatoms; R1, R2 and R3, are linear or branched, C1-C2o-alkyl radicals, optionally containing heteroatoms: B) a Jumoxane or a compound capable of forming an alkyl metallocene cation; and optionally C) organo aluminum compound.

These compounds are useful as cocatalysts for polymerizing olefins.

摘要: A 1-butene/propylene copolymer composition having a content of propylene derived units from 4 to 10% by weight, wherein at least 50% of the polymer is present in the thermodynamically stable, trigonal form 1 after 100 hours at room temperature, said composition comprising: a) from 5% by weight to 95% by weight of an atactic 1-butene propylene copolymer having the following features: i) distribution of molecular weight Mw/Mn equal to or lower than 4; ii) no enthalpy of fusion detectable at a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC); and iii) infrared crystallinity lower than 0.5%; b) from 5% by weight to 95% by weight of an isotactic 1-butene propylene copolymer having the following features: i) isotactic pentads (mmmm) measured by 13C-NMR, higher than 80%; ii) melting point (Tm(II)) higher than 70° C.; and iii) distribution of molecular weight Mw/Mn equal to or lower than 4.

摘要: A solution polymerization process for obtaining isotactic, crystalline or crystallizable 1-butene/propylene polymers comprising contacting under polymerization conditions at a temperature ranging from 50° C. to 90° C. 1-butene and propylene in the presence of a catalyst system obtainable by contacting: a) at least one metallocene compound; b) an alumoxane or a compound capable of forming an alkyl metallocene cation; and optionally c) an organo aluminum compound; wherein the polymerization medium consists of a mixture of 1-butene and propylene wherein the content of propylene in the liquid phase ranges from 1% to 60% by weight.

摘要: A process for producing substantially amorphous propylene (co)polymers, comprising contacting propylene optionally in the presence of one or more olefins under polymerization conditions with a catalyst system comprising: A) a half sandwich titanium complex wherein the cyclopentadienyl is substituted with one or two heterocyclic rings, according to formula (I): cf formula (I) in claim 1: wherein X is N or P; Z is C, Si or Ge; Y1 is an atom selected from the group consisting of NR7, O, PR7 or S; Y2 is selected from the group consisting of CR8 or Y1 and m is 0 or 1 and B) an activating cocatalyst. The above titanium complex and the ligand useful as intermediates in their synthesis are also described.
