Abstract:
A warning device includes a sensing unit, a comparing unit, a controlling unit and a warning unit. The sensing unit sense whether a part of the body of a person is sticking out of the window and generates a sensing signal. The comparing unit detects if the sensing signal is at least a predetermined value. If it is determined that the sensing signal is at least the predetermined value, a part of the body of the person is sticking out of the window and the comparing unit generates a warning signal. The warning unit is used for generating the alarm, and is capable of alternating between an alarm state and standby state. The controlling unit responds to the warning signal to detect whether the warning unit is in the alarm state, and disables the warning unit to start generating the alarm when the warning unit is in the standby state.
Abstract:
A remote control device and method, the remote control being changeable between an unlocked state and a locked state includes a communicating unit for allowing the remote control device to communicate with and remotely control a controlled apparatus and a processor electronically connected with the communicating unit. The processor is configured for unlocking the remote control device from the locked state, such that the remote control device communicates with and remotely control the controlled apparatus, and is configured for locking the remote control device into the locked state, such that communication between the remote control device and the controlled apparatus is disabled the remote control device cannot remotely control the controller apparatus. A method for preventing accidental operations of the remote control device is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A theft warning system includes a first electronic device and a second electronic device. The first electronic device is configured for transmitting monitoring signals, wherein the frequency of the monitoring signals is capable of changing according to change in the voltage supplied to the first electronic device. The second electronic device communicates with the first electronic device by receiving the monitoring signals transmitted by the first electronic device, and generating alarms when a frequency of the received monitoring signals is changed. A theft warning method applied to the electronic device is also provided.
Abstract:
A projector includes a main body and an optical assembly. The main body forms an image and projects the image to a first screen through a lens of the main body. The optical assembly is detachable from the light path of the lens, and is used for reflecting light beams emitted from the lens to project an image on a second screen when the optical assembly is in the light path of the lens. When the optical assembly is detached from the light path of the lens, the optical assembly projects the image on the first screen. The first screen and the second screen are on two adjacent perpendicular surfaces, such as a wall and a ceiling.
Abstract:
A television receiver includes an indentifying unit and a comparator. The indentifying unit indentifies a category of a currently tuned television program. The comparator determines whether the currently tuned television program belong to predetermined particular categories, and generates a first cut-off signal to stop video signals from being displayed on the television and to allow audio signals output on the television if the currently tuned television program belong to the predetermined particular categories.
Abstract:
An audio device includes an internal sound producer, an earphone jack, a detection circuit, a volume adjustor, and an amplifier. The detection circuit detects a connection between the earphone jack and an external sound producer, generates a first state signal when the connection is established, generates a second state signal when no connection is established. The volume adjustor is preset with first predetermined volume levels and second predetermined volume levels, generates first adjustment signals based on the first predetermined volume levels in response to the first state signal, and generates a second adjustment signal based on the second predetermined volume levels in response to the second state signal. The amplifier amplifies audio signals and adjusts the volume of the amplified audio signals according to the adjustment signals, then sends the amplified audio signals to the internal sound producer and earphone jack.
Abstract:
A light shade is provided for partially blocking ambient light from a display panel. The light shade includes a shade portion and a position portion. The shade portion is configured for partially blocking the ambient light. The positioning portion is formed on a side of the shade portion. The shade portion includes at least one baffle. The positioning portion is configured for attaching the shade portion to the display panel. The positioning portion comprises a track and a plurality of blocks formed on an inner side and an outer side of the track. When the shade portion is attached to the display panel, the at least one baffle engages with at least one side of the display panel.
Abstract:
An exemplary media player system includes a media player and an earphone. The earphone includes a first earpiece, a second earpiece, a primary volume control unit, and a secondary volume control unit. The first earpiece and the second earpiece are configured for receiving first channel audio signals and second channel audio signals respectively, and converting the audio signals to yield audible sounds. The primary volume control unit adjusts the volume levels of the first earpiece and the second earpiece simultaneously. The secondary volume control unit adjusts the volume of sounds outputted from one of the first earpiece and the second earpiece.
Abstract:
A method for processing an incoming call using a communication device includes following steps. A phone number of the incoming call is detected. The phone number of the incoming call is logged. A ring duration of the incoming call is computed. The ring duration of the incoming call is compared with a predetermined time interval. If the ring duration of the incoming call is shorter than the predetermined time interval, related features are invoked thereby the incoming call is not returned.
Abstract:
An air conditioning system providing cooled air to a vehicle includes a detection device, a control module, and an air adjusting module. The detection device determines whether another vehicle is in front of the vehicle within a predetermined distance, and sends a signal when the other vehicle is detected. The control module is coupled to the detection device and controls the air adjusting module to operate in a recirculation mode upon receiving the signal.
