Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods associated with locking a micromobility transit vehicle to a stationary object. A multimodal transportation system may include a docking station including a securement point, and a micromobility transit vehicle securable to the securement point of the docking station. The micromobility transit vehicle may include a storage basket and a lock cable including a first end coupled to the storage basket and a second end. The second end of the lock cable may be securable to the securement point of the docking station to lock the micromobility transit vehicle to the docking station. The storage basket may include a pin lock. The pin lock may engage a locking pin of the lock cable to lock the micromobility transit vehicle via the lock cable.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods associated with a cable lock assembly for a micromobility transit vehicle. A lock assembly may include a latch, an actuator, and an electric motor. The latch may be movable between a first, locking configuration securing a locking pin in place and a second, unlocking configuration disengaging the latch from the locking pin. The actuator may be coupled to the latch and movable between a plurality of positions, such as first, second, and third positions. The first position may secure the latch in the first configuration. The second position may move the latch to the second configuration. The third position may allow the latch to move between the first configuration and the second configuration. The electric motor may move the actuator between positions. A tolerance between the actuator and the latch may limit a load applied to the actuator by the latch.

Abstract: A micromobility transit vehicle may include a steering assembly. The steering assembly may include a fork, a steer tube, a stiffening brace, and a stem. The steer tube may extend from the fork and be positioned to rotate within a headtube. The stiffening brace may extend from the fork and be positioned about the headtube. The stiffening brace may include a first engagement surface. The stem may be coupled to the steer tube and the stiffening brace to secure the steering assembly to the headtube. The stem may include a second engagement surface complementary to the first engagement surface and engaged with the first engagement surface to rotationally lock the stem and stiffening brace together.
