摘要: A geothermal heating and cooling system is thermally coupleable to a ground coil formed from a thermal superconductor material. The system includes a heat intensification circuit, a thermal superconductor heat exchange coil and a thermal switch coupling the intensifying heat exchanger to the superconductor heat exchanger, and a thermostat controller connected to the thermal switch and intensifying heat exchanger. The system employs a high thermal transfer superconductor to efficiently move heat to and from the earth source for the purpose of heating and cooling. The system operates in cooling and heating modes by controlling the thermal switches and activating the heat intensification circuit in response to the difference between a set point and a measured temperature. Heat can be transferred to and from the superconductor heat exchange coil through various air and liquid exchange subsystems including fans, direct and indirect liquid heat exchange.

摘要: A geothermal exchange system is couplable to a ground coil formed from a thermal superconductor material, and transfers heat using a refrigerant loop. The device includes a compressor, a reversible refrigerant loop with two heat exchangers, one of which couplable to a thermal superconductor ground loop. The device uses a high thermal transfer superconductor to efficiently move heat to and from the earth source for the purpose of heating and cooling. The device operates in cooling or heating modes by controlling the thermal switches and activating the heat intensification circuit in response to the difference between a set point and a measured temperature. Alternatively, the system can be configured for heating only or cooling only modes, by operating the refrigerant loop in one direction.

摘要: A method is provided to map the sight perception of a patient and/or for therapeutically stimulating the patient. The method includes providing a target focal stimulation on a luminous background stimulation field so that the patient may focus upon the target and thereby keep the patient's retina in a fixed position. A temporary peripheral visual stimulation is then created in a region that is peripheral to the fixation target. The peripheral visual stimulation is darker than the background field. A computer records whether the patient was able to see the peripheral stimulation and stores the patient response data in a manner that maintains association with the position of the peripheral visual stimulation. The process is then repeated with additional stimuli and response recordations to create automatically, in computer media, a peripheral vision map. The vision map may be used to allocate a finite number of therapeutic stimuli to an identified visual field region of the patient having high therapeutic potential. The vision map may include a contrast dimension.

摘要: Alteration of a fixation or peripheral stimulus displayed on a computer-driven display allows a human subject to maintain extended visual fixation upon the resulting dynamic stimulus. The fixation is presented upon the display and the stimulus is altered to allow resensitization of the subject's retina, thereby allowing prolonged visual fixation upon the resulting dynamic target. A dynamic stimulus may utilize a frequency doubling illusion.

In one embodiment, the head mounted display includes a first display that presents a first visual image to a first eye of the subject in an identified position of regard with respect to a specified zone in the field of view of the subject. This embodiment may also include a second display that presents a second visual image to a second eye of the subject in an identified position of regard with respect to a specified zone in the field of view of the subject. This embodiment may also include an anterior support section coupled to the first and second displays, the anterior support section orienting the display in front of the eyes of the subject and may also include a posterior support section coupled to the anterior support section.

摘要: Techniques and processes that combine particulate coating processes with particulate handling steps resulting in the formation of free-flowing particulates for introduction into energetic product vessels to affect an in-situ, net-shape manufactured product. The processes involve selecting suitably sized materials, processing such materials such that they are surface-coated and/or locally “structured” particulates, and pouring, preferably “dry” pouring, these processed materials into an energetic product vessel and infusing the filled vessel with a polymerizable and surface-compatible monomer or oligomer which flows into the unoccupied volume, followed by polymerization of the monomer, which then becomes the binder giving mechanical integrity to the final, net-shape energetic composition.

摘要: Techniques and methods of formation of ordered mixtures of particles by “clustering”. Clustering comprises local “structuring” consisting of a large “host” and smaller “guest” particles by various techniques. Small amounts of polymer are coated onto solid particles by various means. In one embodiment, an ordered mixture is created wherein the material that is of lesser quantity is of small particle size (the “B” particles) and the “A” particles are of larger size. The “B” particles are then coated onto a single A particle. By creating this ordered structure, each composite particle has the proper or stoichiometric amount of all ingredients. This dry composite material produced is appropriately used in various applications such as pharmaceutical formulations in the form of tablets, capsules, oral suspensions, inhalant, parenteral formulations and the like; energetics manufacture such as but not limited to explosives, propellants and pyrotechnics; agricultural products including but not limited to fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides; nutritional supplements and the like.
