    Abstract: A driving assistance system includes a front camera module (FCM). The system, responsive to processing captured image data from the FCM, generates FCM control signals. The system includes a plurality of vehicle sensors capturing sensor data and an advanced driving-assistance system (ADAS) controller. The ADAS controller, responsive to processing the sensor data, generates ADAS control signals. The ADAS controller generates an ADAS status signal indicating a reliability of the generated ADAS control signals. With the ADAS status signal indicating the reliability of the generated ADAS control signals is at or above a threshold ADAS reliability level, the system controls the vehicle using the ADAS control signal and, responsive to determining that the ADAS status signal indicates that the reliability of the generated ADAS control signals is below the threshold, switches from controlling the vehicle based on the ADAS control signals to controlling the vehicle based on the FCM control signals.

    Abstract: A vision system of a vehicle includes a camera disposed at a vehicle windshield and viewing through the windshield and exterior of the vehicle. A light-absorbing hiding layer is established at the windshield at an area at which the camera is disposed and includes an portion established therethrough, with the portion aligned with the camera such that the camera views through the windshield via the portion. The portion comprises a wider central region and narrower upper and lower regions. The wider central region of the portion provides a wide angle field of view of the camera at a region ahead of the vehicle and the narrower lower region of the portion reduces the field of view at regions near to and sidewards from the front of the vehicle. An image processor is operable to process image data captured by the camera for a machine vision function or driver assistance system.

    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes at least one camera disposed at a vehicle a wireless communication module and an electronic control unit (ECU) that includes electronic circuitry and associated software. The electronic circuitry of the ECU includes an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera. The vehicular vision system, responsive to receiving a remote viewing communication from a remote device exterior of and remote from the vehicle, (i) enables at least one light source of the vehicle to illuminate a region and (ii) captures one or more frames of image data representative of at least a portion of the illuminated region. The vehicular vision system wirelessly transmits the one or more frames of image data to the remote device for display of images at the remote device.

    Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a plurality of external sensors disposed at a vehicle and having respective fields of sensing exterior of the vehicle, and a control having a data processor that processes data captured by the external sensors for a driving assist function. The control has a maximum junction temperature and an operating junction temperature. A power supply provides power to integrated circuits. The integrated circuits operate at an operating junction temperature below a maximum junction temperature. A thermal management system controls the operating junction temperature of the integrated circuits. The thermal management system reduces the operating junction temperature below the maximum junction temperature in order to reduce the power required by the integrated circuits.

    Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle towing a trailer includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of the trailer and viewing rearward of the trailer. A trailer antenna is disposed at the trailer and in data communication with the camera, and a vehicle antenna is disposed at the vehicle and in data communication with a control unit disposed at the vehicle. The trailer antenna is operable to transmit signals representative of image data captured by the camera toward a road surface along which the vehicle and trailer are traveling so that the transmitted signals reflect off of the road surface and toward the vehicle antenna disposed at the vehicle.     Abstract: A vehicular driver assistance system includes a front camera module (FCM) disposed at a vehicle. An e-Horizon module (EHM) generates EHM lane information including information regarding the traffic lane the vehicle is currently traveling along. The vehicular driver assistance system determines an EHM correlation using the EHM lane information and the sensor data captured by the at least one exterior sensor. Responsive to determining the FCM correlation and the EHM correlation, the system controls lateral movement of the vehicle based on one selected from the group consisting of (i) the FCM lane information and (ii) the EHM lane information.

    Abstract: A vehicular parking assist system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle and sensing exterior of the vehicle. The vehicular parking assist system, via processing of captured sensor data, and while the vehicle is conducting a parking maneuver, detects an object and tracks location of the detected object relative to the vehicle until the detected object leaves a field of sensing of the at least one sensor of the plurality of sensors. The system, after the detected object leaves the field of sensing of the at least one sensor, predicts location of the detected object relative to the vehicle. The system, upon completion of the parking maneuver, determines that the detected object is hazardous based on the predicted location of the detected object relative to the vehicle, and responsive to determining that the detected object is hazardous, restricts opening of a door of the vehicle.
