摘要: An improved evaporative emission mitigation system for a motor vehicle includes a canister filled with an adsorbent material connected to a membrane module. The membrane module contains a membrane that separates gaseous hydrocarbons from inert air components within fuel vapor generated by the evaporation of fuel due to the heating of the motor vehicle. The gaseous hydrocarbons separated by the membrane are returned to the canister, where they will again be adsorbed by the adsorbent material. The inert air components are vented from the membrane module into the open atmosphere outside of the motor vehicle.

摘要: An internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle may include at least one cylinder including a combustion chamber for combusting a fuel-air mixture introduced into the combustion chamber. The engine may also include at least one fuel injector and a fresh air feed. The engine may further include an exhaust gas discharge for discharging exhaust gas from the combustion chamber and an exhaust gas recirculation for recirculating the discharged exhaust gas into the combustion chamber. Additionally, the engine may include a heat exchanger arranged in the exhaust gas recirculation, the heat exchanger may include at least one first fluid path and at least one second fluid path. A knock number of the fuel may be increased when the fuel flows through the heat exchanger. The at least one second fluid path may fluidically communicate with the at least one fuel injector.

摘要: A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine includes a fuel tank and an air supply and venting device for the fuel tank. The air supply and venting device includes a hydrocarbon retention device and an air supply and venting path, structured and arranged to provide a gas exchange between the fuel tank and an environment. The hydrocarbon retention device includes at least one filter membrane that separates hydrocarbons from air. The at least one filter membrane is arranged in the air supply and venting path such that the air supply and venting path is covered by the at least one filter membrane to prevent hydrocarbons from escaping from the fuel tank into the environment through the air supply and venting path. The at least one filter membrane has hydrocarbon nanotubes.

摘要: An internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle may include at least one cylinder including a combustion chamber for combustion of an air-fuel mixture introduced into the combustion chamber. The engine may also include a fresh air feed for supplying fresh air into the combustion chamber, and an exhaust gas removal system for removing exhaust gas from the combustion chamber. The engine may further include an exhaust gas recirculation system fluidically communicating with the fresh air feed and the exhaust gas removal system for at least partial recirculation of the removed exhaust gas. Additionally, the engine may include a fuel supply device arranged in the exhaust gas recirculation system for introducing a fuel into the exhaust gas guided through the exhaust gas recirculation system, and a fuel vaporizer arranged in the exhaust gas recirculation system configured to chemically convert hydrocarbons contained in the fuel introduced into the exhaust gas.

摘要: This disclosure relates to a separation apparatus for use in a fuel emission control system. The separation apparatus includes a tube being disposed within a conduit of the fuel emission control system and a membrane being disposed within the tube. The tube includes an introduction port for introducing a fuel vapor generated in a fuel tank. The disposition of the membrane increases turbulence of the fuel vapor in the tube and separates the fuel vapor into a fuel-rich mixture and a fuel-lean mixture. The tube further includes a discharge port for discharging the fuel-rich mixture.

摘要: An electric machine, in particular for a motor vehicle, is provided. The machine includes a housing, which is designed open and partially surrounds a housing interior. The machine, furthermore, includes a rotor, which is arranged rotationally adjustably relative to the housing in the housing interior. The machine additionally includes a stator, which is arranged fixed in place relative to the housing in the housing interior and includes multiple magnetic field coils with electrically energizable stator windings. For electrically energizing the stator windings the field coils are electrically connectable or connected to a power electronic system. The power electronic system includes a cooling plate for cooling the power electronic system and is formed by a power electronic module that is formed separately from the housing and can be inserted into the housing interior.
