    摘要: The invention relates to a method for monitoring the quality of a yarn on a textile machine, wherein the yarn passes a monitoring unit of the textile machine, with the aid of which at least one measured variable (M) which is dependent on a physical parameter of the yarn is determined, and wherein the measured variable (M), or a variable derived therefrom, is evaluated with respect to the position thereof with regard to at least one reference value (R). According to the invention, it is proposed that the selection of the reference value(s) (R) takes place taking into account one or more characteristic variables of the yarn, said characteristic variables being yarn-specific and defined prior to evaluating the measured variable (M). Furthermore, a textile machine is proposed which comprises at least one monitoring unit for monitoring at least one physical parameter of the yarn, and at least one controller which is operatively connected to the monitoring unit. The textile machine is characterized in that the controller is configured to monitor the yarn quality according to one or more of the preceeding claims.

In a corresponding method to operate such an open-end spinning device (1) of a rotor spinning machine (2), the rotor housing (15) is impinged with spinning negative pressure (pSU) during the spinning operation. Air current is prevented from flowing from the rotor housing (15) into the drive housing (17) by arranging the rotor housing (15) and the drive housing (17) spaced apart from one another in the open-end spinning device (1) in an axial direction of the rotor shaft (5).

    摘要: An open-end spinning device of a rotor spinning machine has a spinning rotor with a rotor cup, in which fiber material is spun, and with a rotor shaft through which the spinning rotor is driven. A bearing is arranged in a contactless way with a drive to drive the spinning rotor. A rotor housing is provided in which the rotor cup is arranged and which is impinged with spinning negative pressure (pSU) during spinning operation through a negative pressure channel. A drive housing is provided in which the rotor shaft of the spinning rotor extends, and in which the drive and the bearing of the spinning rotor are arranged. The rotor housing and the drive housing are arranged spaced apart from one another in the open-end spinning device in the axial direction of the rotor shaft. In a method to operate such an open-end spinning device, the rotor housing is impinged with spinning negative pressure (pSU) during the spinning operation. Air current is prevented from flowing from the rotor housing into the drive housing by arranging the rotor housing and the drive housing spaced apart from one another in the axial direction of the rotor shaft.

The invention proposes that the spinning station (1) has an information unit (7) with the aid of which it is possible to display to an operator of the spinning station (1) how much yarn (3) has to be at least unwound from the package (16) located in the winding apparatus (20) following the interruption to the yarn production in order to ensure that the yarn section having the yarn defect has been completely removed from the package (16). Furthermore, a yarn clearer and a method for operating a spinning station are proposed.
