    摘要: The invention relates to a method for monitoring the quality of a yarn on a textile machine, wherein the yarn passes a monitoring unit of the textile machine, with the aid of which at least one measured variable (M) which is dependent on a physical parameter of the yarn is determined, and wherein the measured variable (M), or a variable derived therefrom, is evaluated with respect to the position thereof with regard to at least one reference value (R). According to the invention, it is proposed that the selection of the reference value(s) (R) takes place taking into account one or more characteristic variables of the yarn, said characteristic variables being yarn-specific and defined prior to evaluating the measured variable (M). Furthermore, a textile machine is proposed which comprises at least one monitoring unit for monitoring at least one physical parameter of the yarn, and at least one controller which is operatively connected to the monitoring unit. The textile machine is characterized in that the controller is configured to monitor the yarn quality according to one or more of the preceeding claims.

The image processing unit is configured to process the image data to determine a geometry and/or a change in geometry of the at least a portion of the wire path.

    摘要: A method of winding the yarn traveling at a work station of a spinning bobbin winding machine or of a bobbin winding machine from a yarn source onto a take-up bobbin (4). After each yarn interruption, the yarn end is unwound from the take-up bobbin (4), a yarn joinder reconnects the yarn source and the take-up bobbin (4) and the winding process is then continued if a tolerable yarn joining location is present. Upon the occurrence of each yarn interruption, the amount of yarn wound since the last yarn joinder is determined. If such amount of yarn is determined to be less than a predetermined amount of yarn, a sufficient amount of yarn is unwound and separated from the take-up bobbin (4) to include the last-occurring yarn joining location in the separated yarn section. This results in an optical improvement in the quality of the finished textile product.

    摘要: An improved yarn clearer device for use with an automatic winder having a plurality of winding units and knotting devices. A yarn clearer is mounted for movement from a normal working position wherein it clears yarn before same is wound on a package to a position adjacent to the knotting device when the supply yarn breaks or is exhausted. The end of yarn retrieved from the package is led to the knotting device and passes through the displaced yarn clearer after which the yarn clearer is returned to the normal working position without any of the yarn escaping out of the yarn clearer whereby the yarn clearer inspects the yarn just after completion of the yarn piecing operation of the knotting device.
