    Abstract: A cooling structure of a multi-cylinder engine is provided. The engine has cylinders and a cylinder block formed with a cylinder bore wall. The cooling structure includes a water jacket formed in the cylinder block and defined by the cylinder bore wall and a jacket outer surface surrounding the cylinder bore wall, a water pump for feeding a coolant to the water jacket, an introduction portion formed in the cylinder block, having an introduction port opening to the jacket outer surface, and for introducing the coolant to the water jacket, and a spacer member accommodated inside the water jacket. The spacer member has a spacer main body surrounding the cylinder bore wall, and a dividing wall protruding toward the jacket outer surface from an outer circumferential surface of the spacer main body. The dividing wall extends in a circumferential direction at a position opposing the introduction port.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an oil supply device for an internal combustion engine, which includes a control unit that controls activation of an electric oil pump and that functions as either a reserve oil level estimator for estimating the level of oil reserved in auxiliary chambers or a reserve oil level detector for detecting the level of the oil reserved there. When it is estimated or detected that the level of the oil reserved in the auxiliary chambers has become equal to or less than a predetermined reserve oil level while the internal combustion engine is OFF, the control unit performs an oil replenishment control to replenish the auxiliary chambers with the oil by activating the electric oil pump.

    Abstract: An oil supply apparatus includes: an oil pump; a main oil supply path; a sub oil supply path connected to the main oil supply path; a first oil supply section which is connected to the main oil supply path and which supplies oil to a crank bearing section of a specific crank journal; a second oil supply section which is connected to the sub oil supply path and which supplies oil to a crank bearing section of a crank journal other than the specific crank journal; and a control apparatus which sets, as a target oil pressure, a highest required oil pressure among required oil pressures required from a plurality of hydraulic operating sections in accordance with an operation state of the engine, and which controls the discharge amount of the oil pump so that an oil pressure detected by an oil pressure sensor equals the target oil pressure.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to simplify portions of an oil supply passage which portions are formed at a cylinder block. An oil supply device according to the present invention includes a cylinder block, an oil pan, an oil pump, and an oil filter. Wall portions of the oil pan are coupled to wall portions of the cylinder block. An oil filter is attached to the oil pan. An upstream oil supply passage through which the oil filtrated by the oil filter flows is formed at the oil pan. A downstream oil supply passage including a main gallery extending in a cylinder column direction is formed at the cylinder block. A first communication passage through which the main gallery and the upstream oil supply passage communicate with each other is formed at the wall portion of the cylinder block and the wall portion of the oil pan.
