摘要: Examples pertaining to cell discontinuous transmission (DTX) and user equipment (UE) discontinuous reception (DRX) are described. A UE receives a configuration of a cell DTX from a network node with a cell DTX functionality. The configuration carries information regarding at least one of a periodicity, a start slot or a start offset and an on duration. Then, the UE skips a monitoring activity during one or more non-active periods of the cell DTX of the network node.

摘要: Various solutions for low power wake-up signal (LP-WUS) transmission with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a wake-up signal (WUS) configuration from a network node. The apparatus may monitor a wake-up signal based on the WUS configuration. The wake-up signal may be modulated based on one-off keying (OOK) and generated by a multi-carrier amplitude shift-keying (MC-ASK) waveform generation, and wherein a parameter K is a size of inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) of cyclic-prefix orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (CP-OFDMA).

摘要: A new design for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is proposed for the next generation 5G new radio systems. A UE receives the configuration of a default control resource set (CORESET) in MIB/SIB from its serving base station. The default CORESET contains both common search space and UE-specific search space for candidate PDCCH transmission. A PDCCH in a default CORESET is mapped to physical resource in a distributed or localized manner. Specifically, various REG-to-CCE mapping rules are proposed to improve frequency diversity gain, or frequency selectivity gain, or to reduce latency of PDCCH processing. Further, to facilitate analog beamforming in mmWave systems, the default CORESET is transmitted in a synchronization signal (SS) block associated with a corresponding analog beam direction.

摘要: Various solutions for enhancements on paging early indication-occasion (PEI-O) monitoring are described. An apparatus may receive a first radio resource control (RRC) parameter from a network node. The first RRC parameter indicates an offset before a first paging frame (PF). The apparatus may determine a time location of a PEI-O according to a reference point determined by the offset. The PEI-O is associated with one or more paging occasions (POs) in one or more paging frames (PFs) starting from the first PF. The apparatus may monitor the PEI-O to detect whether a PEI is received from the network node. The PEI indicates whether there is a paging for a subgroup to which the apparatus belongs.

摘要: A method for providing tracking reference signal (TRS) availability information to idle mode or inactive mode user equipment (UE) is proposed to enhance the TRS-based power saving design. A UE operates in an idle mode or an inactive mode of communication with a wireless communication network, and receives a system information block (SIB) from the wireless communication network when the UE is operating in the idle mode or the inactive mode. The received SIB includes TRS configuration. The UE determines whether a TRS is present on a TRS occasion indicated by the TRS configuration based on TRS availability information signaled from the wireless communication network, and receives the TRS from the wireless communication network in response to determining that the TRS is present.

摘要: A method of downlink control information (DCI) transmission is proposed to enhance DCI transmission efficiency over physical layer signaling in cellular mobile communication networks. A serving base station uses a higher layer signaling, e.g., radio resource control (RRC) signaling message to configure a plurality of user equipments (UEs) to monitor UE-group DCI. When the UE is configured to monitor UE-group DCI, the UE monitors both unicast DCI and UE-group DCI in each corresponding scheduling time unit, e.g., a subframe in LTE. The candidate positions of the unicast DCI and the UE-group DCI can be orthogonal, partially overlapping, or fully overlapping with each other.

摘要: Methods of enabling multiuser superposition transmission (MUST) in LTE systems are proposed. MUST operation allows simultaneous transmission for multiple co-channel users on the same time-frequency resources. A higher-layer signaling is used for configuring a UE to enable MUST in each transmission mode (TM). MUST is a sub-TM of each TM. When a UE is configured by higher layer to enable MUST, the UE will monitor new DCI formats supported by the configured TM with new fields carrying scheduling information of another co-channel UE. Dynamic switching between MUST and non-MUST operation is allowed. Mixed transmission schemes and precoders among co-channel UEs are also supported.

摘要: A method of two-stage scheduling in downlink control channel is proposed to enhance downlink control information (DCI) forward compatibility and hardware flexibility. The DCI comprises a basic DCI and an extended DCI. The basic DCI provides basic scheduling information of the scheduled data. The extended DCI provides extended scheduling information of the scheduled data channel. The basic DCI can be unicast to a single UE over UE-specific search space. The basic DCI can also be broadcast or multicast to a group of UEs over common search space. UE performs blind detection of the basic DCI only, while the location and size of the extended DCI can be provided by the basic DCI or provided by a higher layer signaling. Cross-slot/subframe and Multi-slot/subframe scheduling can also be applied in the two-stage scheduling.

摘要: Methods for rate matching with soft buffer size setting at the transmitter and soft channel bits storage at the receiver for superposition coding are proposed. In the superposition coding scheme, a transport block intended to one UE needs to be decoded by another UE's receiver. However, the soft buffer sizes per code block of the two receivers may not be the same since the size depends on the UE category. The base station can signal the soft buffer size used at the transmitter for rate matching to the UEs for superposition decoding. A UE stores information bits associated with an interfering signal in its soft buffers in accordance with the soft buffer size used at the transmitter for rate matching. As a result, the UE can decode and subtract the interfering signal from the desired signal for superposition coding.
