摘要: A method for operating a vehicle, which can be operated in a manual and an automated driving mode is provided. Depending on a driving situation occurring in the automated driving mode, a take-over request for a user of the vehicle to take over a driving task is issued to the vehicle user. During the automated driving mode the vehicle monitors whether the vehicle user is able to comply with the take-over request at the time of the issued take-over request based on a current seat position of the vehicle user and/or a current seat setting of a vehicle seat of the vehicle user.

摘要: A respective range of environment recording sensors of the vehicle is estimated by evaluating sensor signals of the sensors to check whether the ranges of the sensors respectively is sufficient for automated driving operation. If only one of, or only a predetermined subset of, the sensors do not have a sufficient estimated range, the vehicle continues to be moved in automated driving operation maintaining a speed of the vehicle or reducing it to a predetermined limited extent. A request to take over a driving task is output instantly or after a pre-determined time delay. If all of the sensors or more or different sensors than the predetermined subset do not have a sufficient estimated range, the vehicle continues to be moved with the speed of the vehicle reduced to a predetermined more significant extent, and the request to take over the task of driving the vehicle is instantly output.

摘要: Performance of at least one environment sensor of a vehicle is evaluated by recording false negatives of the environment sensor regarding a reference object, classifying the false negatives recorded according to chronological length and respectively assigning the false negatives to one of several pre-determined time classes. A false negative rate for each of the time classes is determined specifying how often false negatives of the respective time class occur during the evaluation period. A false negative threshold is predetermined for each of the time classes. For each time class it is determined how often the false negative rate of the time class exceeds the false negative threshold pre-determined for the time class. The performance of the environment sensor is evaluated as impaired if the number of instances in which the false negative threshold for the respective time class is exceeded by the false negative rate is higher than a value for the respective time class.

摘要: A method for determining the ability of a vehicle user to react in the automated driving mode of a vehicle uses detected image data of a driver monitoring camera. Using digital map data present in the vehicle and/or sensor data detected by the vehicle, it is determined whether at least one specified relevant object in a momentary vehicle environment is located in the field of vision of the vehicle user. For at least one detected specified relevant object in the momentary vehicle environment, detected image data of the driver monitoring camera is used to determine a duration and/or frequency the vehicle user directs their gaze to the detected relevant object. When a determined duration falls short of a specified minimum duration and/or when a determined gaze change frequency falls short of a minimum frequency, the ability of the vehicle user to react is evaluated as not given.
