摘要: A driver monitoring device has a processor which acquires surrounding vehicle information, surrounding road environment information and driver line-of-sight direction information, performs autonomous driving or driving assistance of a host vehicle based on the surrounding vehicle information and the surrounding road environment information, determines whether the driver's visual recognition in a direction of travel of the host vehicle is sufficient, alerts the driver when the driver's visual recognition in the direction of travel of the host vehicle is not sufficient, changes non-visual recognition determination criterion used for determining that the driver's visual recognition in the direction of travel of the host vehicle is not sufficient; and changes the non-visual recognition determination criterion so that the greater the number of the stopped or decelerating surrounding vehicles in the surrounding region, the easier it becomes to be determined that the driver's visual recognition is not sufficient.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for guiding a vehicle at least in part automatically. The method includes generating gaze tracking data by tracking a gaze direction of a user of the vehicle for a predefined time interval and analyzing the gaze tracking date by a computer unit with respect to a lane change intention of the user. Depending on a result of the analysis, an at least partially automatic lane change maneuver is proposed to the user or the at least partially automatic lane changer maneuver is initiated by the computing unit.

摘要: Directional stimuli are applied to a vehicle operator to enhance situational awareness. Characteristics within a vehicle's external environment may be assessed to determine whether they present at least a threshold safety risk. If so, a type and/or intensity of a directional stimulus to apply to the vehicle operator is determined. In addition, one or more output devices is selected to apply the directional stimulus. The selected output devices may, upon activation, apply the directional stimulus from a same direction as the underlying directionality, in relation to the vehicle, of a potential safety hazard present in the vehicle's external environment. In this manner, the applied stimulus elicits an immediate rise in the vehicle operator's situational awareness, and also immediately informs her—based on the direction from which the stimulus is applied/received—of the directionality of the potential safety hazard within the vehicle's external environment.

摘要: Various embodiments of methods and systems for managing driver engagement may include evaluating a driving risk on a roadway proximate to the vehicle using historical roadway data, identifying an emotive expression of the driver using vehicle sensor data, obtaining historical data about driver reaction times for assuming full control of other vehicles and whether assuming full control of the other vehicles avoided an accident on the roadway, selecting a minimum level of driver engagement suitable for the roadway proximate to the vehicle based on the evaluated driving risk, the identified emotive expression of the driver, and whether historical driver fallback behavior avoided an accident on the roadway proximate to the vehicle, observing a driver behavior using one or more vehicle sensors, and taking an action in response to determining that the driver behavior does not meet the minimum level of driver engagement suitable for the roadway proximate to the vehicle.

摘要: A vehicle system has a first operating mode and a second operating mode. The first operating mode is configured to execute a functionality of the vehicle system in driving mode based on acquired sensor signals and to operate the vehicle in an at least partially automated manner through interventions in vehicle guidance based on the result of the executed functionality. The second operating mode is configured to change a degree of the effectiveness of the interventions in the driving mode and/or a degree of the effectiveness of an operation decoupled from the vehicle guidance, and, when executing a functionality of the vehicle system with a changed degree of the effectiveness of an intervention in the vehicle guidance and/or a changed degree of the effectiveness of an operation decoupled from the vehicle guidance, to acquire operating data of the vehicle and/or feedback data from the user of the vehicle.

摘要: A safe driving determination apparatus includes an angle value calculation part that calculates an angle value indicating a face direction angle of a driver with respect to the traveling direction, a determination part that determines whether or not the driver is in a state of being inattentive to the road ahead on the basis of whether or not an integrated value of angle values during a past predetermined determination period is equal to or greater than a threshold value, and a road state identification part that identifies a state of a road on which the vehicle is traveling, wherein the determination part determines the determination period on the basis of the state of the road on which the vehicle is traveling.
