    Abstract: A wall scanner that includes a housing, a plurality of sensors, a display, and a control section. The housing includes a handle portion and a body portion. The handle portion is adapted to receive a removable and rechargeable battery pack such as a high-voltage lithium-ion (“Li-Ion”) battery pack. The body portion of the housing encloses the plurality of sensing devices, such as capacitive plate sensors for sensing the presence of a stud behind a surface, a D-coil sensor for identifying the presence of metal behind the surface, and a non-contact voltage sensor. The display is configured to display the location of an object behind the surface in real-time, the depth of an object behind the surface, and whether an object behind the surface is ferrous or non-ferrous. The control section includes actuation devices for controlling the functions and operations of the wall scanner, such as the scanning mode.

    Abstract: A battery charger for charging a first battery pack and a second battery pack includes a housing having a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is angled relative to the second surface. The battery charger also includes a charging circuit positioned within the housing, a first charging port coupled to the housing and electrically coupled to the charging circuit, and a second charging port coupled to the housing and electrically coupled to the charging circuit. The first charging port configured to support the first battery pack, and the second charging port is configured to support the second battery pack. The battery charger further includes an indicator light associated with the first charging port. The indicator light includes a lens that extends over a portion of the first surface and a portion of the second surface.

    Abstract: A battery assembly includes a housing having an inside surface and an outside surface. The outside surface has a bottom portion, a side portion, and a junction portion between the bottom portion and the side portion. The inside surface defines an internal cavity, and a drain aperture extends through the wall from the outside surface to the cavity at the junction portion. At least one battery cell is disposed within the cavity. A contact is coupled to the housing and is in electrical communication with the battery cell.

    Abstract: A hand-held band saw having a deck defining a front and a rear, and an opening in the front defining a cut zone. The band saw also includes a first wheel supported by a first deck portion, a second wheel supported by a second deck portion, a motor operably coupled to the first wheel, a single handle providing a single grip for a user to hold the band saw with only one hand, and a continuous blade having a cutting edge. The continuous blade includes a first portion positioned in the cut zone for performing a cutting operation and a second portion positioned outside of the cut zone. A blade guard is positioned proximate the cutting edge of the second portion of the continuous blade to substantially provide a barrier between the cutting edge and an exterior of the band saw.
