Abstract:
A pedal-operable vehicle is provided with electric means to operate the same which comprises a storage battery, a relatively thin motor, a speed reducing transmission which includes a free wheel between the motor and one of the wheels of the vehicle and an electronic control means for the motor which provides for electrical operation of the motor only after the vehicle has reached a predetermined maximum speed.
Abstract:
The subject matter of the disclosure relates to a control device which is an improvement on French Pat. No. 1,598,786 wherein the ignition and detection of the presence or absence of a flame are both effected at a relatively low frequency (less than 1 Hz) whereas according to the improvement, means are provided to effect the ignition at a relatively higher frequency and the detection at a relatively low frequency. Additional safety means may be included.
Abstract:
For a fuel control system of an internal combustion engine having a needle which lifts to admit fuel, an electromagnetic means is provided for lifting the needle which electromagnetic means is energized through discharging of a condenser, the condenser being charged through an alternator operated by the engine. The circuit connecting the alternator to the condenser and to the electromagnetic winding comprises means to cause the condenser to discharge and may also include means to change the time the needle is held in lifted position and to vary the magnetizing current.
