Abstract:
Techniques for inter-agency recommended course of action are provided. An indication of an incident requiring a response from a first and a second public safety agency is received. An expected incident response based on standard operating procedures of the first and the second public safety agency is retrieved from a machine learning engine. A deviation from the expected incident response attributable to the second public safety agency is identified. A recommended course of action for the first public safety agency is retrieved from the machine learning engine. The recommended course of action based at least in part on historical incident responses. The recommended course of action is sent to the first public safety agency. Feedback related to the incident that includes when the recommended course of action was accepted and an incident outcome is received. The machine learning engine is updated based on the feedback.

A method and apparatus associated with one or more wearable devices for a user includes utilizing the one or more wearable devices, for a set of functionality, in a first configuration by the user, wherein the user is in a specific role; communicating data, in a Personal Area Network (PAN), between the one or more wearable devices and between a mobile device associated with the user; and providing information to a recommendation engine, wherein the information is related to the specific role, the set of functionality, and the first configuration.
Abstract:
Techniques for radio frequency uplink performance assessment utilizing downlink erasure frame analysis are provided. An indication of if a received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame is received from a plurality of receiver wireless communications devices. The indications of if the received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame are aggregated. The frame identified by the frame identifier is declared to be an erasure frame when at least one of the plurality of wireless communications devices has indicated the received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame. That an error occurred on an uplink between the sender wireless communication device and the RAN is determined when the frame is declared an erasure frame.
Abstract:
A portable radio communication device is provided that receives communications on a primary channel and a secondary channel as part of a dual-watch mode of operation. The portable radio communication device detects a gesture associated with the portable radio communication device and identifies a channel from one of the primary channel and the secondary channel corresponding to the detected gesture. Further, the portable radio communication device associates controls of a user interface in the portable radio communication device to the identified channel for controlling one or more operational parameters pertaining to the identified channel during the dual-watch mode of operation.
Abstract:
A method and system provide a way of determining if equipment is at risk at an incident scene. A call is received about a new incident. The new incident includes an incident type, an incident location, and an incident severity. It is then determined that insured equipment is located at the incident location. An incident report is generated. The incident report includes a list of at-risk equipment at the incident location. A property owner of the at-risk equipment at the incident location is then alerted.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided by which a radio communication device with multi-watch receivers improves the comprehension of a high-priority message when the high-priority message is overlapped in time with a normal-priority message. A first receiver of the radio communication device receives a first incoming message over a first channel, and a second receiver of the radio communication device receives a second incoming message over a second channel. The radio communication device, upon receiving the first and second incoming messages, detects that a portion of the first incoming message overlaps in time with a portion of the second incoming message. The radio communication device further determines whether at least one of the first or the second incoming message is a high-priority message and repeats the determined high-priority message when at least one of the first or second incoming messages is a high-priority message.

Abstract:
A method, system and device enable transferring an audio signal between devices of a single user. The method includes pairing, over a master-less communication link, a narrowband communication device operating in a narrowband communication system and a broadband communication device operating in a broadband communication system. A call is then established between the narrowband communication device and the narrowband communication system or between the broadband communication device and the broadband communication system. Next, an audio quality parameter is determined at at least one of the narrowband communication device and the broadband communication device. An audio signal of the call is then transmitted, over the master-less communication link and in response to the audio quality parameter, from one to the other of the broadband communication device and the narrowband communication device.
