A digital optical receiver includes an O/E conversion part for receiving the optical modulated signal, converting it to an electrical modulated signal, and outputting the electrical modulated signal. Additionally, the digital optical receiver further includes a main/subdata demodulation part for demodulating the main data from the electrical modulated signal, while detecting whether or not a distortion signal responsive to the subdata is superposed on a subcarrier which forms the electrical modulated signal. If the distortion signal is superposed on a subcarrier, the main/subdata demodulator part demodulates the associated subdata.

    摘要: A system and method are provided for controlling bandwidth allocation in a wireless local area network (wLAN). The method comprises: expressing device bandwidth allocations in terms of a time base; in response to expressing the bandwidth allocation in terms of a time base, monitoring network communications; and, measuring the allocated bandwidths. The method may further comprise: establishing polling schedules in response to expressing the bandwidth allocation in terms of a time base; and, de-energizing devices in response to the polling schedules. Expressing device bandwidth allocations in terms of a time base includes establishing: an inter-transmission opportunity (TXOP) interval; and, a TXOP jitter. These fields are supplied in the IEEE 802.11e transmit specification (TSPEC). Then, de-energizing devices in response to the polling schedule includes disengaging transmission and receiving functions in the minimum TXOP intervals between polling events, where the minimum TXOP interval is the inter-TXOP interval minus the TXOP jitter.

    摘要: A communications method carries out error-correction encoding of data, generation of a suitable packet in accordance with a retransmission request from a receiving side, and transmission of the packet to the receiving side, from a transmission side. In the receiving side, the communications method performs error-correction decoding of the received data, distinguishing an uncorrectable block in accordance with a result of the error-correction decoding, and transmission of a retransmission request packet to the transmitting side. In this way, if a block in the packet is judged as uncorrectable by the receiving side, where one packet is composed of a plurality of correction blocks of error correction codes of a block type, it is possible to retransmit only the block to be retransmitted. Therefore, it is possible to avoid unnecessary use of bands and to attain a low bit rate.

    摘要: A pulse position modulation pulse signal to be demodulated is sampled by a pulse detection part based on a motion clock. The motion clock is generated from a motion clock generating part so that a period of pulse precision n falls within a width of an information pulse in the signal to be demodulated. A phase relationship between the motion clock and the information pulse to be demodulated is classified into six kinds of patterns, and in case the relationship is outside the patterns, it is to be excluded as being under effect of noise. The pulse detection part gives a pulse detection signal in which the effect of the noise has been eliminated to a phase comparison part, which compares the given signal with a reproduction clock timing signal showing the timing of a reproduction clock signal generated in a clock reproduction part, then generates a control signal for controlling a phase of the clock reproduction part. Consequently, it becomes possible to lower a frequency of the motion clock for detecting a position or phase of the information pulse from the pulse position modulation pulse signal in a phase locked loop circuit.
