Toner compositions comprising toner particles including additive particles upon an external surface of the toner particles, wherein the additive particles include crosslinked styrene containing polymer particles, exhibit reduced sensitivity to relative humidity. The crosslinked styrene containing polymer particles preferably have an average particle size of from about 30 nm to about 300 nm, and may comprise styrene homopolymer particles, styrene copolymer particles or mixtures thereof. A process of reducing the relative humidity sensitivity of toner using such external surface additive is also described.

The toner includes emulsion aggregation toner particles of a binder including a non-crosslinked styrene acrylate polymer, at least one colorant, at least one wax, and aluminized silica, wherein an amount of aluminum metal in the toner particles is from about 50 ppm to about 600 ppm. Such toner is able to provide a high level of gloss while maintaining a low minimum fixing temperature. The aluminized silica acts as a coagulant during the emulsion aggregation formation process of the toner.

A toner is disclosed that includes a toner binder of crystalline sulfonated polyester, wherein the crystalline sulfonated polyester is 90% by weight or more of the toner binder, and a colorant. In other embodiments, the toner includes a crystalline sulfonated polyester and a linear amorphous sulfonated polyester, and a colorant. In these embodiments, the crystalline sulfonated polyester is from about 20% to about 60% by weight of the toner binder and the linear amorphous sulfonated polyester is from about 40% to about 80% by weight of the toner binder. The toners possess excellent miniumum fixing temperatures in the range of from about 80° C. to about 130° C. Processes for preparing the toners are also described.
