摘要: A tissue sampling apparatus comprises a tubular body having a primary lumen for receiving a tissue sample. The tubular body includes a distal end, a proximal end, and a longitudinal axis extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The tissue sampling apparatus further comprises a cutting cylinder having a distal cutting edge, which is movable both distally and proximally relative to the tubular body. A band having an eyelet disposed therein extends across a distal end of the tissue sampling apparatus, wherein the eyelet is advantageously movable relative to the distal cutting edge in order to sever a distal end of the tissue sample.

摘要: A method, performed in a receiver device, for decoding transmissions of a set of coded information bits from a transmitter. The method includes deriving received symbols from first received data and second received data. The received symbols are converted to sets of soft coded bit estimates. The sets of soft coded bit estimates are combined to form a combined set of soft coded bit estimates. The combined set of soft coded bit estimates are decoded to form a set of soft information bit estimates. The set of soft information bit estimates are converted to form a set of binary bits. A determination is made whether the set of binary bits has been correctly or incorrectly decoded. Interference cancellation is performed on the received data, and the method is repeated until either the set of binary bits has been correctly decoded or a predefined maximum number of iterations is reached.

摘要: A finds comparison tool is provided that includes a presentation tier providing a plurality of interfaces for interacting with a plurality of client applications. The presentation tier allows the client applications to send requests for a plurality of analytics to be performed regarding comparing the performance of one or more funds or portfolios as well allowing mobile-based client applications and web-based client applications to communicate with the funds comparison tool. An application tier processes the requests sent by the client applications by providing the data used by the client applications, storing and retrieving of session data, and an interface for the analytics information captured during sessions so as to allow a visualization of the analytics used in the comparison of the one or more funds or portfolios.

摘要: A system configured to collect and disseminate measurements regarding a roadway condition. The numerical measurements may include pavement construction material temperature, material density, photographs, videos, location information (GPS, GIS, station and offset, etc.), timestamp, text, audio, calculated values, detected values (for example roadway ride quality based on calibrated mobile device internal accelerometer). The system may also disseminate information to the mobile devices with construction project/asset specific information. For example, information can include training or educational content on how to perform a specific measurement or procedure to properly acquire a data sample in the field. For example, the information sent to the mobile device can use real-time information such as device location to determine if the system user is near a point of interest where a particular data sample should be measured and recorded. Data uploaded to the cloud-based storage environment may be made immediately available to one or more other credentialed users for real-time project tracking

摘要: This invention relates to an injection moulding process for the manufacture of multi-layered articles, especially articles having barrier properties. The process includes clamping a thermoplastic film over the cavity of a mould of an injection moulding process, the film being capable of being stretched. The film is then stretched within the mould by inserting the core of the mould, preferably using a core in which a central part enters the mould and partially stretches the film prior to the remainder of the core entering the mould. The mould is then closed, excess film is trimmed off and polymer is injected into the mould cavity. The resultant article is a multi-layered injection moulded article which, depending on the characteristics of the film and injected polymer, may have barrier properties to oxygen, liquids or the like that are superior to articles moulded from only the polymer. The process is particularly useful in the moulding of containers having a depth:width ratio of at least 0.5.

摘要: An optical scanning device (14) receives information from a page (11) of printed text (12) via an electrooptical transducer (16) and uses that information to fill a bit map in a memory device (102). In order to track the location of the optical scanner relative to the printed page, thus facilitating entry of information into the bit map, an optical mouse (19) is included in the scanner. In accordance with another embodiment of this invention, two optical mice (19, 150) are provided on the scanner (148) to indicate not only the position of the scanner relative to the page but also the angle that the scanner is held at relative to the page. The scanner can be used in conjunction with an optical character recognition device, a photocopying device, or any of a number of other devices. In accordance with another embodiment of this invention, indicia of location (210) are placed either on a transparent sheet or a mechanical constraint (200). A set of sensors (208) on an optical scanner (202) are adapted to sense this indicia but the sensors are spaced differently from the indicia, therefore indicating movement with very fine resolution.
