摘要: An optical fiber splice housing is provided for connection to a distribution frame adjacent to the rear of an optical fiber raceway unit. The splice housing comprises a cabinet having a front end defining a cabinet height and a cabinet width and a rear end defining a rear facing opening. The front end of a cabinet is adapted for connection to a distribution frame adjacent the rear side of the raceway member, and the cabinet height is not greater than the raceway height while the cabinet width is not greater than the raceway width. The splice housing can therefore be connected to a distribution frame adjacent to the rear side of a raceway unit without using additional vertical space in the frame and access to a splice tray mounted on the splice tray shelf can be had through the rear facing opening of the cabinet.

摘要: A clamp assembly (10) is provided which can include first and second clamp halves (16, 18) with a base (50) mounted in each clamp path. The base has a cylindrical inner surface (54) which can clamp a cable thereto for strain relief. Alternatively, a flexible insert (86) having a plurality of cylindrical cavities (102) opening through the outer surface (100) thereof can receive a number of cables (12) to be clamped in the clamp assembly for strain relief. In another version, a plurality of nested inserts (106-116) can be provided on each base (50) allowing the selection of a particular insert dimension suitable the cable to be secured.

摘要: A mixed media outlet is provided that is capable of being mounted upon a wall and that includes ports that are typically designed to provide separate access to an electrical network and to an optical network. The wall mounted outlet can therefore permit a telephone to be connected to the electrical network, and a computer to be connected to the optical network. Alternatively, the outlet can permit a telephone to also be connected to either the same or a different optical network than the computer. The mixed media outlet includes a housing adapted to be wall mounted and first and second ports that are disposed within openings defined by the housing, such as a data port and a voice port. The mixed media outlet also includes an electro-optic converter connected to the first port for converting between electrical and optical signals such that electrical signals presented at the first port are converted to corresponding optical signals for transmission to an optical network and optical signals delivered by an optical fiber are converted to electrical signals for transmission via the first port to a computer, for example. The mixed media outlet can also include a fiber port for optically interfacing the optical fiber and the electro-optic converter in order to permit optical communication therebetween. While the fiber port can be in the same plane as the data and voice ports, the fiber port can lie in a different plane in some embodiments. Further, the mixed media outlet can include a protective subhousing covering at least the electro-optic converter for protecting the electro-optic converter from electromagnetic interference.

摘要: A cable storage device has a reel rotatably mounted in a frame. The reel has a hub that rotates with the reel. A connector panel has a plurality of connectors for interconnecting with an end of the cable on the reel. The connector panel will fit on a reel docking station for rotation with the reel. The connector panel also fits on a frame docking station while the reel is not to be rotated. A locking member is engaged by the connector panel when the connector panel is mounted to the reel docking station to allow rotation of the reel. The locking member is biased to a locking position when the connector panel is removed from the reel docking station. A cable presence sensor locks the reel against rotation if substantially all of the cable is pulled from the reel.

摘要: An optical fiber connector housing or facilitating the cross-connection or interconnection of optical fibers is provided having upper and lower plate members spaced apart from one another with the front edge of the lower plate member extending further forward than the front edge of the upper plate member. A connecter panel depends generally vertically downward from the front edge of the upper plate member thereby defining a shelf portion at the forward part of the lower plate member. A door is hingeably connected to the front edge of the lower plate member thereby defining a forward cable area, at least one side aperture, and at least one top aperture forward of the connector panel.

摘要: A chamber or vasculature of a heart may be accessed via the pericardial space of the heart. Initially, the pericardial space may be accessed via a transmyocardial approach or a subxiphoid approach. A lead or other implantable apparatus may thus be routed into the pericardial space, through myocardial tissue and into the chamber or vasculature. The lead or other apparatus may be used to sense activity in or provide therapy to the heart.

摘要: A delivery apparatus for accessing the pericardial space of a heart including an elongated body defining a lumen and a piercing member that extends from a distal portion of the elongated body for piercing tissue of the heart. A spring expands from a distal end of the piercing member in response to the distal end of the piercing member passing through the tissue and into the pericardial space. An electrode located on the spring in order to sense signals indicative of a distal end of the spring passing through the tissue and into the pericardial space.

摘要: The intrapericardial lead includes a lead body having a proximal portion and a flexible, pre-curved distal end portion. The distal end portion carries at least one electrode assembly containing an electrode adapted to engage pericardial tissue. The distal end portion further carries a pre-curved flexible wire member having ends attached to spaced apart points along the distal end portion of the lead body, the flexible wire member having a normally expanded state wherein an intermediate portion of the wire member is spaced apart from the distal end portion, and a generally straightened state wherein the wire member and the distal end portion are disposed in a more parallel, adjacent relationship so as to present a small frontal area to facilitate delivery into the pericardial space. The wire member re-expands to its normal state after delivery into the pericardial space to anchor the distal end portion of the lead body relative to the pericardial tissue.

摘要: A ring electrode for an implantable medical device includes a conductive tubular member adapted to be attached to a lead body and having a continuous generally helical slot formed therein to form a coil thereby enabling omni directional bending. The coil is of flattened cross section and in one embodiment, the coil is shaped as a spiral of uniform pitch. In another embodiment, a plurality of uniformly spaced dovetail joints connect a plurality of first and second adjacent loops. Each dovetail joint includes a plurality of uniformly spaced wedge-shaped tenons projecting longitudinally from a first loop, a plurality of uniformly spaced wedge-shaped mortises longitudinally indented into a second loop, the wedge-shaped mortises being similarly shaped and sized in relation to the wedge-shaped tenons, the plurality of wedge-shaped tenons being fittingly received by the wedge-shaped mortises at all locations between the proximal and distal ends of the ring electrode.
