摘要: There is provided a power save processing method to be performed by a communication terminal capable of concurrently establishing communication links with a plurality of slave communication terminals, which reduces the transition time and provides an increased power save operation time. When a power save operation is performed at a plurality of slave communication terminals having asynchronous communication links established with the master communication terminal, the master communication terminal sets a communication start time and a communication duration for each communication link such that the communication slots used for the communication links are huddled together so as to span one continuous range, assuming that the communication links all have the same communication cycle. In accordance with the parameters thus set, the master communication terminal Negotiates with the plurality of slave communication terminals. Then, the master communication terminal itself performs a power save operation during the continuous period corresponding to unused slots which has been obtained through the above adjustments.

摘要: Controlling establishment of a synchronous communication link depending on how the communication band is used, the controlling being applied to a wireless communication terminal which supports both asynchronous communications and synchronous communications. A asynchronous communication link management section manages the presence of asynchronous communication links between wireless communication terminals. A synchronous communication link management section manages the presence/status of synchronous communication links between wireless communication terminals. When a request to establish a new synchronous communication link is made by a user, a link establishment determination section determines whether the currently-established asynchronous communication links can be maintained based on the presence/status of the asynchronous and synchronous communication links and the requested communication quality. The link establishment determination section allows the requested synchronous communication link to be established only when it is determined that the currently-established asynchronous communication links can be maintained.

摘要: There is provided a method for controlling establishment of a synchronous communication link depending on how the communication band is used, the method being applicable to a wireless communication terminal which supports both asynchronous communications and synchronous communications. A asynchronous communication link management section (21) manages the presence of asynchronous communication links between wireless communication terminals. A synchronous communication link management section (22) manages the presence/status of synchronous communication links between wireless communication terminals. When a request to establish a new synchronous communication link is made by a user, a link establishment determination section (25) determines whether the currently-established asynchronous communication links can be maintained even if the newly requested synchronous communication link is established, based on the presence/status of the asynchronous and synchronous communication links and the requested communication quality. The link establishment determination section (25) allows the requested synchronous communication link to be established only when it is determined that the currently-established asynchronous communication links can be maintained.

摘要: A communications device for fetching data received from some other device from a receive buffer into a memory managed by software, responding to an occurrence of a receive interrupt or a timer interrupt. A frequent occurrence of the receive interrupt or the timer interrupt leads to smooth establishment of a communications link with the other device, but results in reduction of the communications efficiency unless adopting a CPU higher in throughput or additional hardware. In the communications device, determination is made whether a communications link has been established or not. If established, the data is fetched in response to only the timer interrupt. If not, the data is fetched in response to either the receive interrupt or the timer interrupt. Consequently, the communications efficiency can be successfully improved, and the link can be smoothly established, without depending on CPU or hardware throughput.

摘要: In an object identification system, phototransmitters 100 which are assigned to at least one object send out invisible light having rectilinearity. A control device 200, which is placed near an object, instructs the phototransmitter 100 that is assigned to an object selected by a user to transmit information for uniquely identifying an object or an imaging device. In response to this instruction, the phototransmitter 100 sends out invisible light having first information superposed thereon. An imaging device 300 to be carried around by the user includes, in order to take in an image: a storage section for storing second information for uniquely identifying the object selected by the user or the imaging device itself; a photoreceiving section for receiving invisible light which is sent out from the phototransmitter 100 and extracting first information superposed on the received light; a determination section for determining whether or not to take in an image based on the first information which is sent from the photoreceiving section and the second information which is stored in the storage section; and a photoreceiving device. The imaging device 300 further includes: an image input section for taking in an image representing the surroundings of an object to which a phototransmitter that is currently sending out invisible light is assigned if the determination section has determined to take in an image; and a displaying section for displaying the image representing the surroundings of the object which has been taken in by the image input section. The image input section incorporates a photoreceiving device which has a sensitive range including the wavelength of the invisible light, so that the displaying section can display the object and the light emission by the phototransmitter which is assigned to the object.
