A leak preventing wall is formed so as to surround the base portion of each electric contacts, so that the flow of leak current between the adjacent contacts is prevented even if water intrudes into the watertight case and spreads over the outer surface of the wiring board assembly.

An electrical junction box comprising a case having a rib; a wiring board assembly provided in the case and comprised of an insulating board and a plurality of bus bars mounted on the insulating board, the bus bars being sandwiched between the insulating board and the rib of the case; and a drainage channel provided near the bus bars. The drainage channel comprises a cutout of the rib formed at a portion bridging the adjacent bus bars. With this structure, the water having entered the case is prevented from staying in this portion, so that it may smoothly flow through the cutout of the rib to the outside of the case. Accordingly, the generation of short circuits between the adjacent bus bars may be prevented. At least a through-hole may be formed through the insulating board at a position near the bus bars, and a gap may be defined between the bus bars and the insulating board by providing a plurality of projections on the insulating board.

A developing apparatus provided with a developer holding container (16a) which holds a mono-component developer and an electroconductive elastic development roller (16b ) which is provided inside the developer holding container in a manner enabling it to be driven to rotate. The electroconductive elastic development roller is disposed so that a portion of it is exposed from the developer holding container and contacts the image carrier. The mono-component developer is made to deposit on its rotating surface and form a mono-component developer layer. By the rotation of this, the developer is transferred to the region of contact with the image carrier. The developing apparatus includes an electroconductive leaf spring member (16c) for regulating the thickness of the mono-component developer layer of the electroconductive elastic development roller. This electroconductive leaf spring member is supported integrally at one end by a rotatable rigid support member (16d) and is made to elastically press against and contact the electroconductive elastic development roller for regulating the thickness of the mono-component developer layer of the electroconductive elastic development roller at the other end. The center of rotation of the rigid support member is substantially positioned on the tangent of the electroconductive leaf spring member and the electroconductive elastic development roller.

The present invention is directed to a developing device using a one-component developer composed of colored fine sythetic resin toner particles. The device includes a vessel for holding the developer and a developing roller rotatably provided within the vessel, a portion thereof being exposed therefrom and resiliently pressed against a surface of an photosensitive drum. The toner particles are held by the surface of the developing roller to form a developer layer therearound, and are carried to the surface of the image formation drum for development of an electrostatic latent image formed thereon. The developing device further incorporates a blade member provided within the vessel and resiliently engaged with the developing roller for regulating a thickness of the developer layer formed therearound. The pressures exerted on the developing roller by the phososensitive drum and the blade member, respectively, can be at least partially released.

An electrophotographic recording apparatus includes a photosensitive drum on which an electrostatic latent image can be written, a developing device for developing the latent image of a charged visible image with a one-component developer, and a transferring device for electrostatically transferring the charged visible image from the drum to a sheet or paper. The developing device has a conductive foam rubber roller for entraining the developer to form a developer layer therearound and for bringing the layer to the drum for the development of the latent image, a conductive blade resiliently engaged with the foam rubber roller for uniformly regulating a thickness of the developer, and an electric source for applying electric energy to the blade to electrically charge the developer layer by a charge-injection effect. The transferring device has a conductive foam rubber transfer roller in contact with the drum, and an electric source for applying energy to the transfer roller to give a paper an electric charge having a polarity opposite to that of the charged visible image during a passage of a recording medium through a nip between the drum and the transfer roller.

A cartridge type developer supplier, detachably mounted in a developing device for an image formation apparatus such as an electrophotographic recording apparatus, includes a container for holding a developer and having an outlet port formed therein for discharging the developer therethrough, a paddle rotatably provided in the container for feeding a part of the developer from the container to the device through the port during rotation of the paddle, and a lid movably associated with the paddle so that the lid is enabled to take an initial position for closing the port when the paddle is positioned at a given angular position prior to a commencement of the rotation thereof. The lid is moved from its initial position after the commencement of the rotation of the paddle so that the port is opened to enable the container to feed developer to the device.
