    摘要: A watertight and leak-proof junction box for use, for example, in vehicles such as automobiles, and a process of assembling such a junction box are provided. The wiring board assembly comprising a plurality of insulating plates, wiring conductors strips and electric contacts formed by raising the free ends of the strips so as to project from the outer surface of the wiring plate pile which is embedded in an insulating resin through molding to form a resin-embedded wiring board assembly prior to assembling the junction box, and then the resin-embedded wiring board assembly joined with a connector support board having connector bodies for receiving the terminals of electrical units and/or wire harnesses is contained in a watertight case. A leak preventing wall is formed so as to surround the base portion of each electric contacts, so that the flow of leak current between the adjacent contacts is prevented even if water intrudes into the watertight case and spreads over the outer surface of the wiring board assembly.

    摘要: A sealing material receiving structure in a junction block for use on a vehicle or the like is provided. The junction block comprises a top cover provided with a connector or connectors, or a wiring board; a bottom cover provided with a connector or connectors, or a wiring board; an insulating plate or plates provided with bus bars having tab terminals, and placed between the top and bottom covers; and an elastic plate-shaped packing placed between the lowermost insulating plate and the bottom cover. Rectangular enclosures are formed integrally with the packing so as to surround holes for receiving the tab terminals formed in the packing. Holes for receiving the enclosures therein, respectively, are formed in the bottom cover. The dimensions of the enclosures, the tab terminals, the holes formed in the packing, and the holes formed in the bottom cover are determined selectively so that the tab terminals fit the holes formed in the packing and the enclosures tight, and the enclosures fit the holes formed in the bottom cover tight.

    摘要: A resilient terminal with a buckling prevention mechanism has a pair of electric contact portions that are interconnected through a flexible joint portion. The pair of contact portions are provided with abutment portions that are disposed opposite to each other with a small gap therebetween. When there is a misalignment between the mating terminals or when an excessive insertion force is applied, the flexible joint portion of the terminal deflects to allow the male terminal to be inserted therein. The flexible joint portion, however, is protected against buckling because an excess bending of the joint portion is blocked by the abutment portions abutting against each other. At the same time, one of the abutment portions slides on the other, correcting the terminal misalignment and ensuring reliable terminal engagement.

    摘要: A method is provided for producing an ultra-high strength steel having a tensile strength of at least about 900 MPa (130 ksi), a toughness as measured by Charpy V-notch impact test at −40° C. (−40° F.) of at least about 120 joules (90 ft-lbs), and a microstructure comprising predominantly fine-grained lower bainite, fine-grained lath martensite, or mixtures thereof, transformed from substantially unrecrystallized austenite grains and comprising iron and specified weight percentages of the additives: carbon, silicon, manganese, copper, nickel, niobium, vanadium, molybdenum, chromium, titanium, aluminum, calcium, Rare Earth Metals, and magnesium.
