    摘要: In an information recording medium having an air-sandwich structure comprising two disc-shaped substrates opposed to each other at a given space by interposing therebetween a ring-shaped inner spacer and a ring-shaped outer spacer and a recording layer for writing and/or reading information with laser beam which is provided on the inner surface of at least one substrate, the improvement in which at least one spacer is an adhesive-retainable spacer comprising a ring portion of protecting circumferences of the substrates and a protruding ring portion of arranging the two substrates apart, the latter ring portion protruding from a side of the protective ring portion and comprising a front portion for defining the space between the substrates and a stem portion being thinner than the front portion for retaining an adhesive, whereby an excessive adhesive or a volatile material of the adhesive is discharged through a space between the substrate and the stem portion of the protruding ring portion.

    摘要: An optical information recording medium is described, comprising two disc substrates, which are adhered directly or through a convex portion formed on at least one of the substrates or a spacer provided between the substrates by an adhesive layer, and a recording layer which is capable of recording and/or reading information by laser beam and which is provided on a surface of at least one of the substrates facing the other substrate, wherein the adhesive layer satisfies formulae (1), (2) and (3)d/G.gtoreq.0.05 (1)5.times.10.sup.2 .gtoreq.G.gtoreq.5 (2)200.gtoreq.d.gtoreq.20 (3)wherein G is the coefficient of shearing elasticity (kg/cm.sup.2) of the adhesive layer at 23.degree.     摘要: Disclosed is an information storage medium having an air-sandwich structure which comprises two disc-shaped substrates joined together through a ring-shaped inner spacer and a ring-shaped outer spacer. These spacers are made of the same kind of resin as those forming the disc substrates and the resin of the spacers has a viscosity-average molecular weight larger than that of the resin of the substrates. Also disclosed is a process for producing the information storage medium by joining the spacers to the disc substrates by means of ultrasonic welding.

    摘要: A novel information recording medium comprising a substrate and a recording layer for writing and/or reading information by means of a laser beam which is provided on the substrate is disclosed. The recording layer contains a dye having at least one chromophore selected from the group consisting of an amidinium ion chromophore, a carboxyl ion chromophore and a dipolar amide chromophore, and an organic solvent-soluble silver salt. Alternatively, the recording layer contains said chromophore and this recording layer is arranged in contact with a layer of an organic solvent-soluble silver salt.
