    摘要： A white adjusting device performs with adjustment on an image. The white adjustment device includes an estimation unit that estimates a color temperature of an image to be processed, an acquisition unit that acquires a representative color value from a region close to white which is a region in which a color in a color range predetermined from a preset white color value of the image exists, a calculation unit that calculates a correction representative color value from a color value corresponding to the color temperature estimated in the estimation unit and the representative color value acquired in the acquisition unit, and a conversion unit that converts a color of the image so that the correction representative color value is set to the white color value.

    摘要： When the size output for an image is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value (e.g., index printing), a printing apparatus performs an image expansion/reduction process by using an interpolation method whereby high speed processing is enabled while an inferior image quality is provided, or when the output size is greater than a predetermined value (e.g., the normal printing of a single sheet), employs an interpolation method for a high quality image to perform the expansion/reduction. Further, when the output image size is equal to or smaller than the predetermined value, the printing apparatus 1 skips the noise reduction process and the sharpening process to increase the processing speed.

    摘要： An image processing apparatus is connected to and accesses a database that stores items of characteristic quantity information to be used for recognizing, in image data, respective objects and items of color information of the respective objects, the characteristic quantity information and the color information are correlated with each other for the respective objects. A controller performs image recognition processing on image data using the items of characteristic quantity information stored in the database, and acquires color information of an object that has been recognized in the image data by the image recognition processing. The controller searches the database to retrieve the color information indicating a color of the object recognized by the image recognition processing, and identifies a color space of the image data by comparing the acquired color information with the retrieved color information.
