摘要: Synchronized broadcast transmits a same broadcast content using a same waveform from multiple transmitters. Transmitters each apply a same spreading code for broadcast transmissions. In a spread-spectrum communication system having a time division multiplexed forward link, a synchronized broadcast transmission is inserted into a broadcast slot. One embodiment employs an Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplex (OFDM) waveform for the synchronized broadcast. An OFDM receiver is then used to process the received synchronized broadcast transmission. An alternate embodiment implements a broadcast Pseudo-random Noise (PN) code for use by multiple transmitters. An equalizer is then employed to estimate the synchronized broadcast transmission.

摘要: A first polymer (preferably in granular form) is exposed to a gas at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure to introduce the gas into the polymer. This occurs at a temperature from the glass transition temperature to the melting temperature when the first polymer is crystalline or semi-crystalline in nature, or at a temperature below the glass transition temperature when the first polymer is amorphous in nature. Optionally, the gas-laden polymer may then be mixed with a second polymer. The polymer is then melted to produce a foamed article.

摘要: The present invention relates to codon optimised polynucleotides which are efficiently expressed in mammalian cells and encode insect proteins from Dermaphagoides dust mite. In particular, the optimised codon polynucleotides encode a protein from Dermaphagoides pteronyssinus, such as DerP1 or proDerP1. The present invention also provides methods of preparing pharmaceutical compositions comprising the expression of the codon optimised polynucleotides, and vectors and transformed host cells comprising them.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of cleaning endoscopes within a container, wherein fluid flows from inside the container through the endoscope channels, predominantly in one direction, from the smaller-caliber end of an endoscope channel, or lumen, to the larger-caliber end. This method prevents the lodgment of particulate matter and human tissue in the smaller-caliber end of endoscope channels, and it allows fluid to flow through the entire length of all endoscope channels, to permit debris to exit the channels.

摘要: A first remote vocoder receives analog voice and produces packetized vocoder data which is transmitted over a wireless link. A first local vocoder receives the packetized vocoder data from the wireless link. The first local vocoder converts the packetized data to a multibit PCM output. The first local vocoder also adds a detection code to one of the least significant bits (LSB) of the PCM output. The first local vocoder passes the PCM signal to the PSTN from the second end user. The first local vocoder also receives PCM input over the PSTN. The first local vocoder constantly monitors the least significant bit of the PCM input for a detection code indicating that a second local vocoder is connected at the receiving end. If the first local vocoder detects the detection code from the second local vocoder, it begins to substitute packetized data and a redundancy check for a second one of the LSB's of the outgoing PCM. The first local vocoder also begins to monitor the second one of the LSB's of the incoming PCM. If the redundancy check indicates that valid packetized data has been received, the first local vocoder stops converting the PCM output into packetized data and simply passes the packetized data on the second one of the LSB's to the first remote vocoder. If at any time the redundancy check fails and the detection code is not detected, the first local vocoder returns to converting the incoming PCM to packetized data. In this way, the tandem vocoding arrangement is avoided.
