摘要： A communication system includes multiple distributed antenna circuits and an access point (AP). The distributed antenna circuits include at least first and second antenna circuits. The AP is coupled to the distributed antenna circuits and includes multiple transmit chains, multiple receive chains, and an antenna control circuit communicatively coupled to the transmit chains and the receive chains. The first antenna circuit is co-located with the AP and the second antenna circuit is remote from the AP. The antenna control circuit is configured to determine a subset of the distributed antenna circuits to communicatively couple to at least some of the transmit chains to transmit data to a wireless station (STA) that is in range of the subset.

摘要： An example method includes detecting arrival of a packet at a receiver node including detecting over the air energy using at least one of the receiver node's antenna sectors. The method includes selecting one or more RF receive parameters based on information or metrics included in or determined from a pre-payload portion of the packet, including at least one of: selecting a first subset of the antenna sectors with better metrics than a second subset of the antenna sectors to receive the payload of the packet; or selecting an antenna polarization with better metrics than another antenna polarization to receive the payload of the packet. The method includes receiving a payload of the packet at the receiver node using the selected RF receive parameters.

摘要： A wireless transceiver having radios which radios that support wireless communications with associated stations on a corresponding wireless local area network (WLAN). The wireless transceiver also includes: a utilization monitoring circuit, an association targeting circuit, and a power backoff circuit. The utilization monitoring circuit monitors communications between each of the radios and its associated stations. The association targeting circuit identifies, from the monitored communications of the utilization monitoring circuit, an underutilized one of the radios as a target radio for re-associating stations currently associated with at least one other radio and initiates the re-association with the target radio of the stations currently associated with the at least one other radio. The power backoff circuit reduces power to the at least one other radio.

摘要： Example implementations are directed to methods and systems employing a solicited sounding protocol that includes receiving, by a second access point, a sounding trigger broadcast by a first access point. The methods and systems also include receiving, by the second access point, a dedicated training signal from a first station in response to the sounding trigger broadcast by the first access point, and generating, by the second access point, channel characteristics of a channel based on the first dedicated training signal, the channel including a forward channel between the second access point and the first station.
