The method includes the steps of monitoring parameters of an operational environment of the portable control device, switching from a manual operation mode to a semi-automatic operation mode in response to occurrence of predetermined criteria within the operational environment, and presenting a semi-automatic operation graphical user interface to a user of the portable control device. The semi-automatic operation graphical user interface includes a reduced set of user interfaces for the semi-automatic operation mode presented by the portable control device.

    摘要: A method is provided for modifying input parameters of a touch panel in response to movement of the panel due to vibrations, turbulence, or a “G” force. The method includes sensing movement of a touch panel, the touch panel having a display region requiring a touch to indicate an input defined by the parameter, a threshold of the sensed movement being above which a user may be prevented from physically providing an accurate touch input due to the movement, and modifying the parameter based on the sensed movement being above the threshold. Feedback may be provided and modified in response to the parameter being satisfied by the touch.

The method comprises measuring an at-ear ambient noise spectrum, determining frequencies within the at-ear ambient noise spectrum that have relative minimum intensities and enhancing the magnitude of the determined relative minimum intensities. The method then generates the auditory alert incorporating the enhanced relative minimum intensities.

A first type of avionics system function is performed in response to the receiving of the first voice command. A second voice command is received.     摘要: A near-to-eye (NTE) display allows an operator of an apparatus, such as a pilot of an aircraft, to see a conformal video presentation of the view outside the apparatus. Significant objects outside are converted into a conformal video view. An accelerator measures movement and rate of movement of the NTE display positioned on the operator's head, and if the movement and rate exceed a threshold, either ceases the continued display, removes, or deemphasizes the conformal image, for the period of the delay in order to eliminate any jerky or jittery motion of the displayed conformal image, which may be distracting, irritating, or headache inducing to the pilot.
