摘要： Compounds that modulate natural β amyloid peptide aggregation are provided. The modulators of the invention comprise a peptide, preferably based on a β amyloid peptide, that is comprised entirely of D-amino acids. Preferably, the peptide comprises 3–5 D-amino acid residues and includes at least two D-amino acid residues independently selected from the group consisting of D-leucine, D-phenylalanine and D-valine. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the peptide is a retro-inverso isomer of a β amyloid peptide, preferably a retro-inverso isomer of Aβ17-21. In certain embodiments, the peptide is modified at the amino-terminus, the carboxy-terminus, or both. Preferred amino-terminal modifying groups include cyclic, heterocyclic, polycyclic and branched alkyl groups. Preferred carboxy-terminal modifying groups include an amide group, an alkyl amide group, an aryl amide group or a hydroxy group. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds of the invention, and diagnostic and treatment methods for amyloidogenic diseases using the compounds of the invention, are also disclosed.

摘要： An adapter for attaching an accessory, such as a light, to a partition frame is disclosed. In one form, the adapter includes two opposed brackets. Each bracket has a base, a side wall extending downwardly from the base, a flange extending inwardly from the side wall, and a wall extending upwardly from the base. The brackets may be installed to the partition frame by inserting the flange of each bracket in a slot in the side of the partition frame. When the brackets are installed to the partition frame, a post structure including the upright walls is formed. The post structure is used for attaching the accessory. In another form, the adapter includes a post and a support member. The support member may mounted to the partition frame or to a mounting bracket attached to the partition frame. The post may be used for attaching the accessory.

The prepuff particles have an average particle diameter of from 0.2 mm to 8 mm, a bulk density of from 0.02 g/cc to 0.64 g/cc, an aspect ratio of from 1 to 3. The slump value of the composition measured according to ASTM C 143 is from 2 to 8 inches. After the lightweight ready-mix concrete composition is set for 28 days, it has a compressive strength of at least 1400 psi as tested according to ASTM C39.

摘要： In a computer graphic system a method and apparatus for dynamically maintaining an overflow flag in a multi-layer buffer. A circuit for maintaining an overflow signal is provided. This circuit is provided new pixel data from the computer system and old pixel data from a memory and in response dynamically asserts or de-asserts the overflow signal. An increment and decrement generator, which is coupled to the new overflow generator, is provided a new overflow signal and an old overflow signal and in response generates an increment signal and a decrement signal. An overflow tracking circuit, which is coupled to the increment and decrement generator, is provided. The overflow tracking circuit uses the increment and decrement signals to maintain an overflow count value.
