Abstract:
Various methods of inspecting a workpiece for residue are provided. In one aspect, a test structure is provided that includes a substrate, a first conductor on the substrate and a second conductor on the substrate. A resistor network is coupled in parallel between the first conductor and the second conductor. The resistor network has n resistors and n contacts and a measurable resistance RM. Each of the n resistors has a known resistance Rk and a known position on the substrate. Each of the n contacts is connected between one of the n resistors and the first conductor or the second conductor, whereby the location of any of the n contacts in an open state is determined from the equation: R M = 1 1 R k + … 1 R n The test structure provides for not only the identity but also the location of open contacts.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of handover from an active network to a selected one of a plurality of potential other networks. In addition to the overall solution, the solution proposed has several individual aspects. All subsidiary aspects are related to the common problem mentioned above and sharing the underlying common solution concept of implementing a system in which selective handover is possible and in which a list of available other networks provided by an active network can be handled and selection made by a terminal, so that neighbor cell information can be transmitted based on expressed terminal preferences.

Abstract:
An accessory rack for mounting on a vehicle is described. In an embodiment, the accessory rack includes an anchor that mounts to the frame and a stand that is supported by the anchor so as to provide a strong yet compact accessory rack. The small size provides potential benefits in the reduction of fuel consumption and/or reductions in wind noise in the event the user does not remove the accessory rack from the vehicle during periods of disuse. The accessory rack may include a stand configured to support standard sized carriers while providing improved ergonomics during installation of objects onto the carrier.

Abstract:
A link controller for use in a node of a network includes a digital controller (102) that employs a knowledge-based control program (103). The device and method provide flexible master node designation, automatic installation, configuration and reconfiguration, and recognition and correction of network communication problems resulting from interference and other adverse conditions. The knowledge-based control program (103) employs an inference engine and a set of rules to dynamically optimize network configuration. Multipath is managed by locking on to reflected signals when a direct signal is unavailable. Operation is transparent to network users.
