摘要: A hinge mechanism with preset positions is described. In at least some implementations, the hinge mechanism enables a support component to be adjustably attached to an apparatus, such as a computing device. The support component can be rotated via the hinge mechanism to various positions to provide support for different orientations of the computing device. In at least some embodiments, a hinge mechanism utilizes preset hinge positions that enable a support component to be placed at different preset positions. For instance, the hinge mechanism is configured such that an attached support component tends to “snap” into various preset positions.

摘要: Examples disclosed herein relate to the identification and suppression of inadvertent touches on a touch device, such as a touchpad or a touch screen. A suppression region is monitored on the touch device, and received touches are classified as intended or inadvertent based on the touches inside or outside of the suppression region. The suppression region is continually monitored, even while touches determined to be intended are being captured. Inadvertent touches are suppressed, and intended touches are allowed to be displayed or otherwise processed.

摘要: An electronic device includes a display including an emission unit, a light sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of ambient light level, a memory in which filtering instructions and emission control instructions are stored, and a processor configured to implement the filtering instructions to generate at least one filtered representation of the ambient light level in accordance with the signal. The processor is further configured to implement the emission control instructions to determine whether the ambient light level is increasing or decreasing, and to generate a control signal that, based on the at least one filtered representation, increases a brightness level of the emission unit at a first rate if the ambient light level is increasing and that decreases the brightness level at a second rate if the ambient light level is decreasing. The first rate is greater than the second rate.
