摘要： Thin snack chips having a curved or wave shape are obtained by forming, shaping or curling baked chips into a curved or wave configuration before they become too cold and rigid so as to result in breakage during forming. The essentially flat, malleable baked chips, still hot from baking in an oven may be continuously transported on a conveyer belt into a nip or gap formed between the conveyer belt and a rotating forming roller to curve or curl the malleable baked chips around the roller. The malleable baked chips are subjected to a guided curtain of air to cool and set the chips in a curved or wave configuration and to remove or blow the curved or wave chips off of the rotating forming roller onto the conveyor belt.

摘要： Thin, baked fermented chips having an irregular shape and surface bubbles are produced by cutting a fermented, wheat-based compressed dough sheet into a plurality of pieces having different shapes and notches with a single rotary cutter so that the dough pieces form an interlocking pattern and the notches extend around the periphery of each piece. The notches are spaced around the periphery of each piece and facilitate separation of the dough pieces from each other while at least substantially avoiding tearing and breaking of the dough pieces. A plurality of notches of each piece are aligned or contiguous with notches of any adjacent piece in the interlocking pattern.

摘要： The invention provides a food additive prepared from refined and fractionated phospholipids containing at least 35% phosphatidyl choline and a ratio of 2:1 to 10:1 phosphatidyl choline to phosphatidyl ethanolamine which is complexed with water and vigorously mixed to form globular vesicles or liposomes. The aqueous liposomes are then used per se or mixed with food ingredients and/or with an edible reinforcing carbohydrate to form a suspension or paste which is added to the foodstuff. The liposome can replace some or all of the fat in the food as well as acting as a carrier, encapsulating agent, moisturizing agent, and depanner for foods.

摘要： A connector receptacle is provided with one flat external side for application to a printed circuit board. The connector receptacle has enclosing guiding walls terminating in a latch element. At least a pair of conductive female connectors are provided within slots in the connector receptacle. Each of these pieces providing the connectors consists of a pair of aligned female conductors integral with a pin connector support interconnected through a bridge and is formed of a single piece of sheet metal. The bridge also extends between the aligned pair of female conductors and supports a transversely extending spring tab which is used to enter a transverse slot in the connector receptacle to hold the integral piece in place. The female connector pieces are reversible for use in the slots provided on opposite sides of the connector receptacle. The circuit breaker, having electric terminal connectors which cooperate with the female connectors of the receptacle, is modified to provide a latch element extending in the direction of the terminal connectors from the circuit breaker and cooperative with the latch element on the connector receptacle to engage and hold the circuit breaker in position with the terminal connectors engaged with the female connectors of the connector receptacle.

摘要： A circuit protector employs molded resinous parts including a base and a support frame structure. Advantageously the circuit protector support frame structure may include a medial plane frame providing space for two circuit protectors, one on each side of the frame and a common back plane mutually perpendicular to the medial frame and the base along one edge of the base. A cover fits over the support frame and base and snugly accommodates the base at its terminal edges except immediately along the back plane. The back plane is provided with a slot through the back plane in the vicinity of each pair of contacts which communicates to a space between the cover and the back plane of the base permitting venting of gases generated by arcing. Grooves are supplied in the medial plane frame and the back plane to accommodate edge flanges of an arc suppressing grid to hold the grid in place to bracket the contacts.
