摘要: The invention relates to apparatus for the provision of receipt, validation and collection of banknotes or tickets which are input by a user, typically as payment for a service which has or is to be provided. The apparatus allow for the accurate location of the banknote or ticket as it passes through the apparatus and the accurate validation of the same. In one embodiment a printer assembly is provided which allows the apparatus to print tickets and to pass the same in the reverse direction to input banknotes or tickets, to be provided to the user as, for example a credit which can be cashed subsequently by the user.

摘要: A rotary atomiser drive spindle for use as part of a rotary atomiser, the drive spindle comprising a shaft which carries a turbine and a body which comprises at least one supply channel for supplying gas to the turbine for rotatingly driving the shaft relative to the body. The turbine comprises a rotor body portion, which is ring shaped, and a plurality of blades projecting from one of the generally flat surfaces of the rotor body portion. Generally radial gas paths through the turbine are defined by adjacent pairs of blades. The at least one supply channel comprises a nozzle portion from which, in use, gas leaves the body of the spindle towards the turbine. Each nozzle comprises an outlet and the cross sectional area of the gas passage through the nozzle portion decreases monotonically from the inlet of the nozzle to the outlet. Two turbines may be provided and exhaust air may be used for cooling.

In another aspect, a method includes displaying a segment of music; receiving user input selecting a scale, multiple notes from the displayed music, and a pitch displacement; displacing the notes; and for each displaced note that is not in the scale, automatically replacing the displaced note with a corrected note. In another aspect, a method includes receiving user inputs selecting multiple scales and a non-overlapping period of time for each scale; receiving notes, each for a particular period; and correcting the notes as necessary according to the scale for the period.

摘要: Thin snack chips having a curved or wave shape are obtained by forming, shaping or curling baked chips into a curved or wave configuration before they become too cold and rigid so as to result in breakage during forming. The essentially flat, malleable baked chips, still hot from baking in an oven may be continuously transported on a conveyer belt into a nip or gap formed between the conveyer belt and a rotating forming roller to curve or curl the malleable baked chips around the roller. The malleable baked chips are subjected to a guided curtain of air to cool and set the chips in a curved or wave configuration and to remove or blow the curved or wave chips off of the rotating forming roller onto the conveyor belt.

摘要: A small pinhole aperture and a scintillator are used to observe resolution in a charged particle beam system which is particularly applicable to electron beam projection devices in which the beam is several orders of magnitude larger than the desired resolution and minimum feature size to be produced. A pattern having a feature which is of comparable size to the desired resolution to be observed is scanned across the aperture in two dimensions and a synchronized display of measured light output from the scintillator allows real-time observation of the effects of correction adjustments on the resolution of the system. In this manner, a rough adjustment to near optimum corrections can be obtained over the deflection field in a much reduced number of iterations.

摘要: The reagent package includes a container housing section and a container lid that are sealed together to define one or more inside chambers. An opening in the container lid provides access to a corresponding chamber. The chamber opening is controlled by a valve that is pivotable from an open position to a closed position and vice versa. When the valve is in an open position the container chamber can be accessed through the valve with an aspiration probe and a dispensation probe. The reagent package accommodates a filter screen member and a glass ampoule in the container chamber. The glass ampoule contains one reagent ingredient, usually in a dry powder form and the space within the chamber outside the glass ampoule usually contains a reconstituting liquid ingredient. When the reagent package is ready for use a pressure force is imposed on the outside wall of the chamber adjacent the glass ampoule to crush the ampoule and permit the liquid ingredient within the chamber to mix with the powder ingredient released from the glass ampoule. The reagent package can be formed as a dual package with separate non communicable chambers that each contain different reagents. A locking clip member is secured to the reagent package to enhance the seal provided by the valves when the valves are in a valve closed position.
