    摘要: A luminous keyboard includes a light guide layer, a light source, a reflecting layer, a circuit layer, a key fixing plate, mechanical keys, and microstructures. The light guide layer has a first surface, a second surface, and a light incident surface. The light source generates a light beam to the light guide layer through the light incident surface. The reflecting layer is disposed beside the first surface of the light guide layer. The circuit layer formed on the second surface of the light guide layer has multiple switches. The key fixing plate is fixed to the second surface of the light guide layer. The mechanical keys are connected to the key fixing plate, corresponding to the switches, and are pressed to trigger the corresponding switches. The microstructures disposed on the light guide layer surround the switches, and guide the light beam from the light guide layer to the mechanical keys.

    摘要: A fabrication method of a brightness enhancement film (BEF) including the following steps is provided. A light transmissive substrate is provided and has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. Then, a plurality of first rod-shaped lenses are formed on the first surface. The rod-shaped lenses extend along a first direction and are arranged along a second direction. After that, a plurality of second stripe-shaped prisms are formed on the second surface. The stripe-shaped prisms extend along the second direction and are arranged along the first direction. Next, an electromagnetic wave beam is made to pass through the rod-shaped lenses, the light transmissive substrate and the stripe-shaped prisms in sequence. A first portion of each of the stripe-shaped prisms exposes and leaves a second portion of each of the stripe-shaped prisms unexposed. Then, the second portions of the stripe-shaped prisms are removed.

The image capturing unit determines a touch angle according to a captured detection image. The distance detection unit includes a detection signal generator and a receiver. The detection signal generator supplies a scattered detection signal. The receiver receives the reflected detection signal and determines a first touch distance according to the detection signal. The calculation unit is coupled to the image capturing unit and the distance detection unit. The calculation unit calculates a touch position according to the touch angle and the first touch distance.

    摘要: A light guide plate capable of guiding a light beam from a light emitting device and a backlight module using the light guide plate are provided. The light guide plate includes a light-transmissive substrate and optical structures. The light-transmissive substrate has a first surface, an opposite second surface, and an incident surface connecting the first and the second surface. The light beam enters the light-transmissive substrate through the incident surface and is emitted out of the light-transmissive substrate through the first surface. The optical structures are disposed on the second surface. Each optical structure has a first total internal reflection (TIR) surface, a second TIR surface, and a third TIR surface. The second TIR surface connects the first and third TIR surfaces. Part of the light beam from the incident surface is totally internally reflected by any adjacent two of the first, second, and third TIR surfaces in sequence.

    摘要: A touch display apparatus including a display unit, a light confinement element, at least one light emitting device, and at least one optical detector is provided. The light confinement element is disposed beside the display unit, and has first and second total internal reflection (TIR) surfaces, and a light incident surface connecting the first and second TIR surfaces. The light emitting device is disposed beside the light incident surface and capable of emitting a light beam which enters the light confinement element through the light incident surface. The first and second TIR surfaces are capable of repeatedly totally reflecting the light beam in the light confinement element, for confining the light beam between the first and second TIR surfaces. When a touch object contacts the first TIR surface, the TIR effect is spoiled, and the touch object reflects a part of the light beam to the optical detector.
