摘要: An optical pickup is opposed to an inner-radius portion of an optical disc that is set, and pits (a modulation signal) are read by applying laser light for a DVD to the inner-radius portion. The read-out modulation signal is decoded by inputting it to a CD decoder. If decoded disc information includes particular verification data, the optical disc is judged to be a legitimate optical disc of a particular type and formation of a visible image on the label surface is permitted.

摘要: When an optical disk image forming device forms an image on an optical disk, the image forming device reads information of kinds of coloring matters used in an image forming area from information described in an information area of the optical disk. Then, the optical disk image forming device reads from a table laser power strength information corresponding to the information of the kinds of the coloring matters and a maximum linear velocity (Nx) at the time of forming the image and applies a laser beam having this laser power strength to form the image on the image forming area of the optical disk. Thus, since the discoloration of the coloring matter in the image forming area is always saturated, the image having a constant contrast can be formed on the image forming area of the optical disk.

摘要: An optical disk has inner and outer information areas respectively in inner and outer portions thereof in each of which a groove is formed at a predetermined width, A planar mirror surface is provided without forming a groove, in an area lying between the areas. When a laser beam is applied to the area to form a visible image, visible-image information, capable of representing the position, shape and size of an area occupied by the visible image, is formed and recorded in the area. When additionally forming a visible image, the image area information is read from the area to display on an edit screen an optical disk and an area of a visible image already formed on the surface of the disk. The user is allowed to determine a newly-recording visible image and its position by use of the edit screen

摘要: A decladding device of spent nuclear fuel easily and efficiently removes fuel pins from the spent nuclear fuel. Spent nuclear fuel pins P, made of austenitic stainless steel, and in which the spent nuclear fuel is filled, are fed by a feeder 7 one by one or by a unit of several pins and finely sheared into fragments by a shredder 1 having plural rotating blades 4, 5 so that fragments are of a size of 1 to 2 mm or less. The sheared fragments are separated into a fuel pin portion and a nuclear fuel portion by a magnetic separator 20. The magnetic separator 20 comprises a vibration feeder 27 feeding the sheared fragments and is arranged below the shredder 1. Without using a dissolving liquid of nitric acid, decladding is done and the spent nuclear fuel can be efficiently obtained.

摘要: In an optical disk recording apparatus, a monitor monitors a recording power of a laser light. A laser control circuit enables a laser diode to perform test recording while using the monitor to monitor the recording power of the laser light and while controlling a laser drive voltage, so that the monitored recording power reaches a given reference value during the test recording. A voltage measurement section measures the laser drive voltage when the recording power of the laser light reaches the reference value. A calculation section calculates an initial laser drive voltage from the reference value of the recording power and the measured laser drive voltage corresponding to the reference value. A main controller allows the laser control circuit to set the calculated initial laser drive voltage and to start the recording while supplying the laser control circuit with the target value so that an actual recording power of the laser light promptly reaches the target value during the course of the recording.

摘要: An optical disk is equipped with a predetermined mark. A frequency generator outputs an FG pulse of frequency corresponding to the rotational speed of a spindle motor used for rotationally driving the optical disk. The edge of the FG pulse detected by an edge detection section is counted by an FG counter. An angle counter measures the duration of a time from appearance of an edge of the FG pulse until a point in time when the mark affixed to the optical disk 1 is detected. A count value of the FG counter, which has been acquired at the point in time when the mark is detected, and a count value of the angle counter are saved. In a case where a visible image is rendered, encoding of a visible image to be rendered is started when the count value of the FG counter and the count value of the angle counter have become equal to the respective saved values.
