    摘要: A high speed rotating apparatus including a shaft, a rotary body, and a motor. The rotary body driven by the motor has a hollow into which the shaft is inserted and forms a dynamic pressure air bearing between the rotary body and the shaft. The rotary body includes first and second rotary members. The first rotary member has an inner circumferential surface held for rotation by the dynamic pressure air bearing. The second rotary member has an inner circumferential surface fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the first rotary member through a hardening insertion process. The hardening insertion process is performed such that a tensile strength of the first rotary member is greater than an axial tensile stress to be produced in the inner circumferential surface of the first rotary member.

A holding portion is formed either in plural portions in a peripheral direction or as a single integrated portion that extends in the peripheral direction near the rotating member that is positioned by the contacting portion and the engaging portion, and that presses the rotating member from an opposite side of the contacting portion by deformation of one portion or a whole portion of the holding portion, and positions and holds the rotating member.

    摘要: A polygon scanner has a lighter rotating shaft on which a polygon mirror is mounted, to prevent a positional deviation of the polygon mirror from the rotating shaft in high speed rotation, in which the rotating shaft is supported through a dynamic pressure air bearing on a fixed shaft, in which the polygon mirror and motor constituent members are mounted on the rotating shaft, and in which the rotating shaft and the polygon mirror are made of respective light weight materials matched with each other in coefficient of thermal expansion, for example of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. Further, an anodic oxide film is formed at least on a portion where the rotating shaft could contact with the fixed shaft, and floating means is provided for constantly floating the rotating shaft relative to the fixed shaft upward in an axial direction thereof. A process for producing the polygon scanner comprises making a predetermined masking on a portion where the rotating shaft could contact with the fixed shaft, prior to an anodic oxidation treatment to form an anodic oxide film on the portion, and then performing the anodic oxidation treatment, whereby, during the treatment, forming an anodic oxide film and a pattern of recesses and protrusions for dynamic pressure generation corresponding to a pattern of the masking, which are constituent elements of a dynamic pressure air bearing.

The support device has a first magnet directly attached onto an end face of the fixed shaft, a second magnet opposite to the first magnet and attached to the hollow portion of the rotary shaft, and a third magnet opposite to the second magnet and attached to a casing for covering the polygon mirror. Magnetic poles of the first, second and third magnets are opposite to each other to generate magnetic repulsive force.

The DC brushless motor switches conduction to windings wound around a stator core fixedly disposed corresponding to a rotatable rotor on which a permanent magnet is fixed, to generate a rotating magnetic field which causes the rotor to rotate. The DC brushless motor includes a permanent magnet having n magnetized poles, where n is an even number, a rotatably held rotor on which the permanent magnet is fixed, a stator core having T-shaped pole shoes corresponding to the magnetic poles of the permanent magnet, windings fixed on the stator core and including a plurality of phases for selectively generating magnetic polarities in sequence, a driver circuit for switching conduction to the windings, and a rotating position detector for detecting a rotating position of the permanent magnet. The windings are divided into a plurality of winding groups for generating magnetic polarities in a plurality of the windings so as to produce a magnetic repellent force or a magnetic attractive force between all the magnetic poles of the permanent magnet and T-shaped pole shoes of the stator core associated with selected phases by the driver circuit based on a rotating position detected by the rotating position detector.
