摘要:
A vibration damper material 1 composed of a laminated sheet having a base stock layer 3, a resilient layer 4, an primer layer 5, an organic component barrier layer 6 and an adhesive layer 7 successively laminated in that order from one to the other side thereof, and a release liner 8 stuck on the adhesive layer 7. The resilient layer 4 is constituted by a resilient material containing a vehicle consisting of a member or a mixture of two or more members selected from the group of asphalt, rubber, synthetic resins and cellulose derivatives, synthetic resin powder, and an elastic material having an elongation rate of 500% or higher. The organic component barrier layer functions to block permeation therethrough of organic components such as tar and oil components which would otherwise tend to migrate into the adhesive layer from the resilient layer. Despite a substantial reduction in thickness, the vibration damper sheet possesses satisfactory vibration damping properties, along with excellent adhesion to curved surfaces and punching machinability and sticking machinability.

The vibration damper material comprises a laminate of a viscoelastic layer and a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer, and a release liner applied onto the hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The viscoelastic layer is intended to form a vibration damping layer, and contains a viscoelastic material mainly comprised of unvulcanized rubber to which a vulcanizing agent (crosslinking agent) has been added. The hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer comprises a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive which has adhesive properties in the uncured state but has a strong adhesive strength when it is cured by heating, irradiation with light or by being blocked from air for example. This hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer contains a sticking polymer, a reactive oligomer and a polymerization initiator. The release liner which is utilized has a silicone layer formed on the surface of a base material thereof. This vibration damper material has an excellent ability to follow curved surfaces, a reliable adhesivity, and provides a high degree of vibration damping property without impairing the efficiency in the operation in which the vibration damper material is applied onto an adherend.

An adhesive tape or an adhesive label each of which comprises a substrate including a biodegradable polymer layer and an adhesive layer provided on at least one surface of the substrate. The adhesive tape has a release agent layer formed on an opposite surface to the surface where the adhesive layer is provided, or has a release tape which is in contact with the adhesive layer, and the adhesive tape was wound up around a core for storage. The adhesive label has a release sheet which is in contact with the adhesive layer. In such biodegradable adhesive tape and biodegradable adhesive label, a biodegradable polymer is used as a material of the substrate, and therefore the tape and label do not disrupt the natural environment or do not largely disorganize the ecosystem in the soil even when discarded in the soil after use.

A reinforcing and vibration-damping material has a laminate body which includes a constraining layer acting to reinforce an adherend to which the material is to be applied, a vibration-damping layer acting to damp vibrations in the adherend and a binder layer interposed between the constraining layer and the vibration-damping layer. Further, a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed on the vibration-damping layer of the laminate body, and a release liner is placed around the hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The constraining layer exhibits the advantageous effect of reinforcing the adherend, and comprises, for example, a hard material such as a metal. The binder layer comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive, a bonding agent or a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive. The vibration-reinforcing layer comprises a viscoelastic material containing unvulcanized rubber and a vulcanizing agent for example. The hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer comprises a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive which is tacky in the uncured state but has a strong adhesive force when it is cured by heating, irradiation or being blocked from air. Thus constructed, the reinforcing and vibration-damping material has the advantageous effects of damping vibrations in and reinforcing the adherend.

Faraday rotators each have a Faraday element which rotates light and a magnetic field generator for applying a magnetic field to the Faraday element. A wavelength plate is disposed between the Faraday rotators and it retards the light. A polarizer transmits, of the light, light having a predetermined plane of polarization which has been rotated by the Faraday rotators and retarded by the wavelength plate. An optical receiver receives the light transmitted by the polarizer and outputs a light receiving signal which corresponds to the amount of light received. A signal generator outputs a control signal for polarizing the light to be measured into at least four polarization states to the magnetic field generator. A signal processor determines Stokes parameters which indicate the polarization state of the light to be measured based on the four polarization states, and the light receiving signal corresponding to each of the four polarization states.

An FBG sensor system which has a wavelength-tunable light source for emitting light wavelength-swept at a predetermined sweep period, a photodetector for receiving reflected light of measurement light directed to be incident on an optical fiber including an FBC, a processing unit for measuring the wavelength of the reflected light received by the photodetector, and optical pulse generator means that generates a pulse having a predetermined period in synchronism with the sweep period in order that the light from the wavelength-tunable light source is converted into an optical pulse. The sweep period is such that a receipt time of the reflected light in the photodetector is after termination of incidence of the optical pulse on the optical fiber. The predetermined period of the pulse is such that an incidence time for a next optical pulse is after the receipt of the reflected light in the photodetector.

An image projecting apparatus for projecting on an image receiving body an image on a microfilm incorporated in a cartridge is disclosed. This apparatus is provided with a cartridge loader for supporting a container for accommodating a plurality of cartridges. The cartridges in the container are disposed toward the cartridge holder provided for the image projecting apparatus to allow search of the microfilms held therein. The cartridges holding microfilms which have undergone the search are discharged from the cartridge holder. When the cartridge loader is adapted to allow attachment thereto of one container, the cartridges are taken out of the container and, after completion of the retrieval, the cartridges are returned to the container. When the cartridge loader is arranged to permit detachable attachment thereto of a first container for accommodating unsearched cartridges and a second container for accommodating searched cartridges, the cartridges which have undergone the search are returned to the second container after the cartridges in the first container have been attached to the cartridge holder and subjected to the search. When the cartridges in the first container are emptied, the first container is located at the position formerly occupied by the second container.
