Abstract: A coil component includes a core having a winding core portion, a first flange portion disposed on a first end portion of the winding core portion, and a second flange portion disposed on a second end portion of the winding core portion; a wire winding on the winding core portion of the core; and a plate member disposed so as to bridge the first flange portion and the second flange portion. The coil component further includes an adhesive portion disposed between the first flange portion and the plate member and adhering the first flange portion to the plate member, and an adhesive portion disposed between the second flange portion and the plate member and adhering the second flange portion to the plate member. The adhesive portion contains a resin and magnetic powder.

Abstract: An inductor component includes an element body and an inductor wiring. The element body has a planar first main surface. The inductor wiring extends inside the element body. The inductor wiring includes a plurality of wiring portions arrayed in a direction perpendicular to the first main surface. The element body includes a plurality of interlayer insulating layers filling spaces between the wiring portions that are adjacent to each other in a direction perpendicular to the first main surface. The interlayer insulating layers each contain an insulating base material and a plurality of filler particles dispersed within the base material. In a first interlayer insulating layer, which is one of the plurality of interlayer insulating layers, the average particle size of the filler particles is less than or equal to the standard deviation of the thickness of the first interlayer insulating layer.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an inductor component includes preparing an insulating paste that is photosensitive and that includes a filler material composed of quartz, a glass material and a resin material, and a conductive paste, forming a first insulating layer by applying the insulating paste, and exposing the first insulating layer in a state where a first portion of the first insulating layer is shielded by a mask. The method further includes removing the first portion of the first insulating layer to form a groove at a position corresponding to the first portion, applying the conductive paste in the groove to form a coil conductor layer in the groove, and applying the insulating paste on the first insulating layer and the coil conductor layer to form a second insulating layer.

Abstract: A photosensitive insulating paste contains glass frit, a first inorganic filler, a second inorganic filler, an alkali-soluble polymer, a photosensitive monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, and a solvent. The glass frit contains SiO2 and B2O3 as a base component and contains at least one of the aluminum element, sodium element, or phosphorus element as a minor component. The first inorganic filler is a silicon oxide having crystallinity, and the second inorganic filler contains at least one of alumina, titania, zirconia, ceria, forsterite, or an inorganic oxide pigment. The photosensitive insulating paste contains the first inorganic filler in an amount of from 10% by volume to 40% by volume and the second inorganic filler in an amount of from 0% by volume to 30% by volume, with the total of the glass frit, the first inorganic filler, and the second inorganic filler being 100% by volume.
